I don't want to be a lamp...

About Me

Me, Myself & I! I love to write! I love music! I love seeing live music! I am going to learn to play the piano thus writing my own music. I enjoy playing hooky and seeing a couple of movies during the day on my own just as much as I do seeing a movie with company. I like art, any kind of art, especially really gaudy art! I like to read, I will try to read anything you set in front of me. I like wit. I like originality. I love a dry sense of humor. I do not pander. I do not conform. I do not loiter. I don't like birds and birds do not like me. Dolls & clowns freak me out. Ignorance, stupidity and I do not get along. I am stubborn. I like cool weather. I am random... I like taking walks. I like holding hands. I like hugs. I like flip flops. I love beaches. I like road trips. I like talking about religion, politics, and the general state of this place we refer to as Earth, even if I am not drunk. I am a giver. I like to help people. I like original ideas and thought. I am disorganized even though I am a Virgo. I like the ocean, and sharks, and everything else it entails.I like theater; I like acting though I do not do it anymore. I like sports, watching, playing, just sports in general. People say I am funny, and I do tend to crack myself up so perhaps they are right. I like to travel though I really have not done enough of it. I hope to change that very soon. I like to play video games as they give a great sense of escape. In the conversation of "If you could have any super power which would it be?" I tend to go with "fly" though super speed or strength would be handy too! Actually just give me the entire Superman package and I would be ecstatic.I love my family and my friends. I am dedicated to the people in my life. Old school break dancing greatly entertains me, as does M.C. Hammer and Vanilla Ice. I have a strange sense of humor. I can be quiet and shy, or I can be loud and obnoxious. I am adaptable. I am needy. I am emotional though I try to hide it. I plan. I can be somewhat obsessive - though not to the extent of creepy. I like clothes, and shoes, and hats. I like fires. I do not like silence. I like brain teasers, and IQ tests, and Trivial Pursuit. I listen to Seattle radio .. to hear new music and get jealous of their weather.I hate playing “the game”. I cannot stand to be ignored. I write poems and they are often about no one or nothing in particular. I am creative. I tend to keep to myself. I am confusing. I let you know what I want. I am not too manly to cry. I do not know when to quit. I love to learn. Strangely enough I often find me perplexing myself. In this case, I intended for the made-up word to suggest both Being-toward-death (that is, one's own being-toward-his-or-her-own-death) and also the Being-of-Death (that is, the Being of Death itself, as it becomes a character in every person's own narrative). If I kept in mind how ephemeral existence is, I might be more inclined to hold my tongue--or not hold it--toward the people I love who are each spilling out into the ether like everything--proliferating singularities passing with each moment toward nonbeing like time itself. We live lives that are--which is miraculous when they might have just as well not been, and as I tick through it, I should be more aware that this is the thing to celebrate.

My Interests

Things that interest me... Music, Movies, Film, Documentaries, History, Books, Poetry, Sports, Trivia, Writing, Old Records, Video Games, Travel, Camping, Beaches, Interesting Conversation, Museums, Live Music, Journalism and Break-Dancing of course. ..

I'd like to meet:

People who have their own ideas and opinions; which amazingly enough is more difficult then one might imagine. People who are creative. People who like to sit around and talk about things that may or may not really matter as much as go out and get drunk. People who like good music, whether I like their music or not...Oh and others who would like to help me take down Reality Television as a whole.

Books:

Eric Sanderson wakes up in a house one day with no idea who or where he is. A note instructs him to see a Dr. Randle immediately, who informs him that he is undergoing yet another episode of acute memory loss that is a symptom of his severe dissociative disorder. Eric's been in Dr. Randle's care for two years -- since the tragic death of his great love, Clio, while the two vacationed in the Greek islands. But there may be more to the story, or it may be a different story altogether. As Eric begins to examine letters and papers left in the house by "the first Eric Sanderson," a staggeringly different explanation for what is happening to Eric emerges, and he and the reader embark on a quest to recover the truth and escape the remorseless predatory forces that threatens to devour him.The Raw Shark Texts is a kaleidoscopic novel about the magnitude of love and the devastating effect of losing that love. It will dazzle you, it will move you, and will leave an indelible imprint like nothing you have read in a long time.
