Prince is far from your standard lyricist, confident but laid back. He began by listening to the styles of creative rappers and searched for others to study that style of rap, learning about different rhyming patterns and being creative with words, always progressive to make the next verse better than the last. Creative, witty and thought-provoking, words are powerful when communicating with an audience the way he feels about certain topics/subjects he has been involved in and likes to express his life up to now in a way we can all relate to.
