W-inds are Ryohei Chiba, Keita Tachibana and Ryuichi Ogata. Two competitions were held, one in Northen Japan and the other Southern Japan, and that time, Keita, who was 15, emerged as the winner from the south of Japan. Ryohei and Ryuichi, who known each other very well, were the top two in the competition in Northen Japan. They were 16 & 15 respectively. These three were united and W-inds was formed. There has been rumours that the name w-inds, came from the wind from the north and the south of Japan.
