My Interests

Singing, Voiceacting, dancing, hearing live music, trying new restaurants, and burping on command! I am also CRAZY about CHEESE! ALL kinds except blue! Favorite veggie: BROCCOLI! Cheese, queso and chinese food! Mexican food too - YUM!! Bring it on! I am very playful and love to laugh and look at life in a humorous way. It helps us get through our daily suffering as humans. The human condition just fascinates me. I also love children and their beauty and innocence. I really really really like people in general and am very friendly and forgiving. I also love to laugh and to make others laugh - I love jokes and I have a wild sense of humor! WOOHOOO!!! HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHAAAAAA!!! On another special note: I believe that, like us, animals are sentient beings capable of enjoying life and of suffering, that humans have no right to imprison, torture and kill them - they are not ours to abuse, for any reason. I can only hope that anyone's primary objective is the immediate and complete end to all forms of abuse of animals by humans, and if there is anything any of us can do - let's DO IT! Oh, and I cannot exist in life without sugarfree Popsicle Brand POPSICLES! Yes, I am truly addicted and don't plan to attend any meetings over it...

I'd like to meet:

Donna Summer, Neil Diamond, Steve Martin, Abba, Basia and Heart. I would also love to meet the Dalai Lama! I am very spiritual and I am intrigued by Buddhism and Zen. I grew up in a Christian environment and attended a parochial school in the 4th grade. I would also love to meet childhood friends that I lost over the years since we moved every few yrs. I miss them all! I also love Neil Diamond, Seinfeld, the Simpsons, and David Letterman and Jay Leno. Jim Florentine I have already met when he was doing stand-up at the Improv near Dallas - he is hilarious! I miss my late Mother, Sharon. She passed away suddenly over 8 yrs. ago and I am pretty much lost without her but I know she wants me to be happy so I press on and strive to make her proud. She blessed my life and my life is ever changed without her here to share it with....

Music:

DISCO FOREVER!!!! ANYTHING 70's! I also love the retro 80's and R&B, soul and jazz. I love Abba, Neil Diamond and Donna Summer as well as Bread, Three Dog Night,ELO, Blondie, Heart, Basia, Amy Grant, and some kinds of world music. I could go on and on....Jojo, Kelly Clarkson, Steely Dan, Janet Jackson, Foreigner, Def Leppard, the Jets, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Ace of Base, Gloria Estefan, Elton John, Toto, James Brown (get funky!), Madonna, Eddie Rabbit, Zebra, Alabama, Missing Persons, The Sundays, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, The Supremes, Alicia Keys, and many many more!! Classic rock too! Some of the BEST music ever came right out of the 70's! My friend, Troy Powers, writes some excellent music. Ed Loftus too - he is an amazing talent and a light in my life!..

Movies:

I love comedy the most - and my favorite actors are: Steve Martin, Harrison Ford, Gene Hackman, Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, and ANYONE from Saturday Night LIVE! I enjoy curling up with a good film. I have missed some good ones lately. I really really miss Phil Hartman and Chris Farley! WOOHOO!~ I like artsy films too - like the ones they show at the Landmark theaters in the Dallas area. I recently saw Before the devil knows you're dead and loved it. JUNO was also an amazing flick! (1/08) I also just saw THE COUNTERFEITER and it was given an Oscar for best foreign film with subtitles.

Television:

I am crazy about South Park (I can mimic the voices!), Kind of the Hill, Family Guy (just started watching that one), and VH1 specials.. as well as Desperate Housewives, and CSI, Cold Case, and Without a Trace. Simpsons, Seinfeld, Crankyankers and Saturday night live are other faves. There is way too much good TV so I try to avoid watching or I will become too hooked on it. I also LOVE David Letterman and Conan O Brian! Late night TV rocks! I also LOVE stand-up comedy! I think Jimmy Kimmel is amazing and love ANYTHING Saturday Night Live especially the mid to late 70's era. I watch American Idol sometimes just to check in and see what is happening. I like Movies that entertain but make you think. I also ADORE Bindi the Jungle Girl - Steve Irwin's daughter. She is the cutest thing on TV!~ I have really gotten into the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson - that guy is really funny! His accent and facial expressions make him even funnier! I love comedy - I recently saw Richard Lewis in Dallas (Feb 08) and he was truly amazing! (IMPROV)

Books:

Books that are inspirational and explore spirituality and life after death... soul searching kind of stuff. I also love to read the Dallas Morning News.... I just cannot read them fast enough - and then it's the next day and there's another one! Sometimes I will be known to check out a People magazine or an US weekly but there are just way too many of the gossip mags for me to waste all my time reading. I have a WHOLE lotta books in my bookcase just waiting to be read! But time flies when you are in a coma! And dang it I am overly distracted in too many ways. I am getting into crossword puzzles too - what a brain workout! I am currently reading a book on how to get rid of all the excess clutter in your home.

Heroes:

MY BELOVED LATE MOTHER, SHARON DUNNING. She was only 50 when she passed away of complications with leukemia on Aug 22, 1999. Over nine yrs gone and not a day goes by without me thinking of her and her beautiful influence on me and in this life. I continue to grieve her loss.... My other heroes are my two neices Sarah and Grace (ages 9 and 5) as well as my brother Paul (My rock and my hero!) and his wife, Kelly. My Mom's best friend Lorna is also one of my heroes. She adored Mom and I know I can always call her to talk about what MOM would be saying and how much I miss her... I just visited her two sisters in Memphis June 10th, and it was sooo much fun. My aunt was the QUEEN OF RA-MET Krewe in Cotton Carnival 2007! I am seeing a wonderful man named Jim whom I have been with for well over 5 yrs. We travel, go out to eat, hear live music, watch sports and have a lot of fun together!!! ALRIGHT!
