About Me

Hey there, thanks for stopping by my MySpace profile. I never really update or check this profile too often as I got very tired of the whole "myspace thing" quite a long time ago. I think its the bulletins, really... you people and your annoying fucking surveys make me want to punch a baby in the face. If you're on Facebook, find me there, that's what I use to really communicate with people, since there aren't any bright neon distractions.I'm currently a student at the Illinois Institute of Art, Schaumburg, majoring in Motion Graphics/Visual Effects. My original concentration was Graphic Design, which is my true passion. I'll be graduating next year with a BFA, and would ideally like to freelance (I'm allergic to neck-ties)If you want to get down to brass tacks, I'll lay down some basic information about my philosophy on life, the universe, and everything:Religion: I'm an agnostic. For those that don't know, that simply means that I believe that there is force or presence that binds all matter and energy in the universe and gives it structure, though the feeble human mind is far from understanding it's deeper secrets. I don't deny the legitimacy of any religion, nor do I completely subscribe to one spiritual belief. Simply put: there is no way to be sure what is "really" going on. I do, however, condemn the perverse use of religion for political and material gain. I am a man of science, and that means that the truth can be tested over and over and it gives the same result. Believing the Earth is only 6,000 years old and that the dinosaurs died in the great flood of Genesis doesn't necessarily make it so...Politics: My thoughts on specific issues are irrelevant. They are simply thoughts. I refuse to adhere to any political label. What works in one town may not work in the next. Thinking that two completely biased and highly polarized parties can govern a nation of people from every single walk of life is delusional and dangerous. The federal government is a joke and it's only true value is in its capacity to defend the nation with a military. Notice I say "capacity" and not "ability". If you really want to take advantage of the Constitution and make positive change, pay attention to your local elections. The officials you elect on a local level have direct and immediate impact on issues where you live. And no, I'm not voting for Ron Paul, thanks for trying though.Life, and The Universe: Read The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Take that absurdity and divide it by zero. That's how baffling things REALLY are. Also, brush up on your science, most notably quantum physics and string theory. Once you understand things on a quantum scale (even just a little bit), searching for the "meaning" of life becomes pretty silly.

My Interests

Art and design, the outdoors, fishing, reading, photography, guitar, "getting creative", blogging, learning new things about the universe, spreading good karma...

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who doesn't close their minds off to the ideas of others, no matter how different those thoughts are. Anyone who can appreciate the joy and comfort of simply sitting with good company. Anyone who doesn't feel the need to constantly make conversation. Anyone whose in it for the laughs, and no one whose in it for the money...View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment
