About Me

I'd like to think im an optimist - I try to think of situations or problems in the grand scheme of things. This approach tends to leave me with a sense of insignificance in the face of global issues, whilst making my life seem relatively unimportant to the general way of things. This presnets me with a dilemna. Do I try to lead my life without concern of these issues, reaffirming that I am only one man, and can do little about such things, or do I try to make a (albeit insignificant) stand about issues. Ignorance truly is bliss.Time shall tell, perhaps I may be able to find a middle ground, where my daily life is not impacted too greatly, but things are progressing. Edmund Burke said in 1762: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Am I a (that) good man?Frank Turner said in 2007: "I'm young enough to be all pissed off, but I'm old enough to be jaded". I'm not sure about the age desriptor, but I feel 'jaded' before I've really tried to change things. I seem to be in the same purgatory as Frank.

My Interests

I enjoy Kayaking and Canoeing, as well as a bit of Hiking. Got into all that through the Scouts years ago, and I'm still involved in The Phoenix Explorers and The Jesters Network in Coventry, when im not at uni.I also Love live Music, Be it Big Bands or One guy and a guitar - Ive recently seen Frank Turner play here in keele, and hes easily the best soloist ive heard.
