About Me
I started my DJ career in 1995 behind the decks at bars, clubs and free parties in Surrey, South East and London, with forays into promoting and Djing culminating in co-running Planet Sabbatical (with Gareth Lloyd and Danny Daw), one of Manchesters premier house nights between 1997-2001. Some of the guests included - Tyrant, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Lawler, Terry Farley and Yousef to name a few.
You'll currently find me djing regularly at Manchesters premier underground club, Sankeys and I'm equally happy spinning the warm up or peak time slots in both the Basement and the Boutique. Other recent gigs have included trips to Poland, Lithuania, London (Turnmills, the Egg, the End etc) and a mini tour of China playing for Godskitchen
I also sort out the music/djs for a wicked bar in Manchesters northern Quarter called Socio Rehab. I DJ down there with the likes of Ben Macklin, Gareth Lloyd, Greg Vickers, Greg Lord, Danny Daw, Chris Allan, Miguel and more... ITS WELL WORTH A LOOK!
As Shafunkers (with long time friend and studio partner, the mysterious Austin "budley" Moore), i've released over 30 original tracks and almost as many remixes on labels including Premier Sounds, Choo Choo, Fluid, Progress Inn and more recently Saved Records, Cr2, Strawberry Blonde, Toolroom, Deeper Substance, Fantastic House, Cr2, Sr2 Music, Spin Out etc. Our next release is Tick Tock which is due on G Club. Our tunes are regularly supported by Pete Tong, Nic Fanciulli, Desyn Masiello, Lee Burridge, John Digweed, Demi, Mark Knight, Lee cabrera, Ricky Ryan to name a few...
I've also been working on a couple of solo projects with the first 2 tracks entitled Disco Chick and Moogment being signed to the legendary SR2 label based in New York.
