SAUSE

About Me

SAUSE was the creation of Mike Golinksi (guitar) and Ben Archey (bass) in Austin, TX 2000. The two started as the fusion-jazz rock heavy GUEST OF STATE along with Brian Reed on drums. The trio would soon become a quartet when Paul "Deathwish" Ethridge joined the band adding his amazing keyboard skills to the mix. The four would ditch the Guest of State tagline and offically became SAUSE playing their fist gigs at house parties and "Trophy's" bar and tavern. Later Nick Wallisch would fill out the group's sound on percussion and vocals making the band complete.Between 2000 and 2002 SAUSE would play shows around Austin and San Marcos slowly building a fan base and a reputation of a soul band that was a little rough around the edges. The plan was to put out an album of some of the songs the band had been slowly compiling. In the fall of 2002 SAUSE went into Chris "Frenchie" Smith's BUBBLE and recored two tracks. "Made for You" set the standard for the sound of SAUSE. The next year the band went back into the studio in the Summer of 2003 to finish the album. As it goes for most bands SAUSE never put the album out and in the Winter of 2003 it played it's last show. However, the spirit of SAUSE lives on and the music that got people shakin' that booty is still as smooth today as it was all those years ago. This sight is dedicated to that band and all the fun it brought to everyone involved. Hear's to the memories.
