bassist needed

About Me

We are currently looking for a new bassist. If you are interested at all, contact us!Formed in early 2005 to compete in the primal battle of the bands, Lake Genova was originally known as AJB and more of a rock band. After about 8 months the band decided on a change of name (to Lake Genova) and over time the band turned more into a heavy rock/metal band. With the departure of Eddie (Jan/Feb 2007) we have decided to focus on the heavier music and become more of a metal band. Our newer music is written heavily influenced by bands such as Opeth, Children of Bodom, Pantera, Arch Enemy and other heavy metal/thrash bands as listed under the influences section. Some songs also have been partially influenced by heavier bands we listen to, for example Decapitated, Nile, Beneath the Massacre, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and more.Over the years we have been together as a band we have been gaining a lot of experience playing live, having played countless gigs at various bars around auckland, including Hysteria, the Kings Arms, Galatos, the Masonic Tavern, the PR bar, Bacio, as well as some parties and other organised gigs/evenings.
We have also played alongside a countless number of bands, and have developed a strong network in the Auckland music industry. If you would like Lake Genova to play with you/for you, feel free to contact us through myspace, or at [email protected] out our individual myspace pages by clicking on the photos in the band members section...formerly known as AJB (we're still not telling you bastards what that stands for), we were a four piece rock band from mt eden, auckland (represent!) and no one knew who we were but we were really good... honest (not). originally formed in may 2005 to compete in battle of the bands (we came third, thats a bronze medal) we're still writing music and still trying to find a group of kids dumb enough to like us. with four of us in total, you would expect to find some talent in at least one of us, that's not really the case.. but we're good guys really....
