About Me

..

If all journeys were in black and white, the view would not be as lovely. It is the breakthrough of color that lights paths, warms hearts and entices a smile.-Wendy Stewart Hamilton 4/29/2007
I love people. The more varied they are the better in my book. I invite you to take a look at my MySpace Friends. Each one is special to me for a reason. Each one is different from me and it is our differences and similarities that unite us.

I love friends. I have some awesome friends in my life! Some I met on MySpace most are IRL (in real life) and many are a combination of both. I pray for my friends. I figure that is the best way for me to be a friend to each of them. I am fairly transparent about my life and open to new ideas. I believe that God did not design us limited but limitless. We are, after all, created in HIS image and each of us hold a unique reflection of God.

I am an outgoing gal who loves having fun, worldwide travel and doing new things. I am a Choleric-Sanguine blend with a few smidgens of Melancholy traits. I love working hard and getting lots of things done. I consider each day a new challenge to do more, learn more and be more.

I am by profession a writer, graphic design artist and motivational entrepreneur. I absolutely adore writing copy (all of the stuff you read in advertising). I am a global ghostwriter who under the cover of a client's name will use my writing talents to bring their dreams to market.
I have a passion for music and enjoy joining in and harmonizing with just about anyone. My tastes in music vary but I love to sing anything from Gospel, Contemporary Christian to R&B, Country and Bluegrass. I'm not a Rapper =) but I do have soul.

This has been an awesome few years for me and I have had the opportunity to be a contributing author in over thirteen (13) books including:

Wired That Way

by Marita Littauer and Florence Littauer

May 2006 (Regal Books)

Wired That Way has a workbook that makes it ideal for group studies and home teams. I have many contributions in this book - as you read look for "Kayleigh" and "Andrew" stories, contributions from a Melancholy perspective from "Michelle" and my feature "Engaged By Spreadsheet" - the charming description of how my husband a Melancholy/Phlegmatic blend w/ a few Choleric traits proposed to me.

I am also a contributing author in:

Making The Blue Plate Special: The Joy of Family Legacies (January 2006/Life Journey)

This book is a great testimony to the Littauer Ladies - Florence, Marita and Lauren and was an inspiration to work on with them. I have two feature contributions in this book "The Teddy Bear Box" and "Half the Fun Is Getting There"

.

Classic Christmas: True Stories of Holiday Cheer and Goodwill
Release Date: October 2006 (Adams Media)

If you are trying to rediscover the traditional joys of yuletide celebrations, then look no further. Classic Christmas is a stirring collection of more than seventy true-life stories that chronicle the simpler delights of the season.

My latest contributions for 2007 include:

BABY CHANGES EVERYTHING

by Beth Vogt

My Cameo Role in this book relates to having babies within a blended family and it is almost humorous as at the time of print Mike and I had just "fallen off the fence" and landed right into fertile pastures pregnant with "our" fourth child. =)

This book is a must read for women/moms (and dads) who are coming into parenthood later in life - whether by surprise or planning! This is a MOPS endorsed book and I couldn't be happier for my good friend, Beth for her hard work on this project.

RELEASING IN OCTOBER 2007 -

The One Year Life Verse Devotional (One Year Book) COMPILED/EDITED BY JAY PAYLEITNER
I have a devotional the week of August 22nd in this book. This is an amazing collection of devotionals from prominent ministry leaders to upcoming authors and Christian business owners. Highly recommend this book becoming your daily devotional guide for 2008.

Coming Soon -

The CleverDough Kids Series including Book #1 "The Sweet Song of Success". This fiction finance series for TWEENS (ages 7 - 12) teaches powerful lessons on handling money, becoming entrepreneurs and fostering an atmosphere of teamwork that creates results that they can take to heart and take to the bank!

Let's see - what else can I tell you.

I am a CLASS graduate www.classervices.com , a member of Faithwriters www.faithwriters.com , American Christian Writers www.acwriters.com , Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators www.scbwi.com , and National Association of Baby Boomer Women www.nabbw.org . I like people who are like me just as much as I like people who are not like me. I simply find that I like people who are true, accepting, fair and take as much as they give out. I appreciate loyalty in people.

I love doing volunteer work and especially love volunteering my time for Project Connect, an outreach ministry of North Point Christian Church that helps repair houses of at-risk families as well as participate in a lot of cool mentor programs in our community. www.npcc.cc

I absolutely love to edit. Although I never seem to catch my own typos, I can spot them in time to help others.

I am learning Mandarin Chinese with my daughter Kayleigh and plan on spending some time in China sometime in the next decade.

I have a passion for moms and most of my personal and direct work is for them.

Music:

Music is essential to me. I live and breathe it in a variety of colors, flavors, shapes and sizes.

Movies:

I am a hopeless romantic who loves a good comedy and all the flicks that are unpredictably great in the boy meets girl theme and forever becomes a distinct reality.

Books:

I read alot. I write alot. I love books.
MY FAVORITE QUOTE FROM 2007..."The Bible says be kind to each other and love one another...and share your toys" - Kayleigh and Andrew Hamilton (apparently they read a version of the Bible more literal than even The Message.) =)
MY FAVORITE QUOTE FROM 2008 is from my kids: (After Kayleigh gave him a card she had made/painted) Kayleigh: "Andrew, the X's and O's mean hugs and kisses" Andrew: Oh! I thought it meant LOVE...HATE...LOVE...HATE.
The cyclone derives its powers from a calm centre. So does a person - Norman Vincent Peale (1898 - 1993),

At the end of the game the king and the pawn go back in the same box - Italian proverb
