Born in Central New Jersey, Elder Linda Brown was chosen from her mother’s womb to be an advocate, mentor and teacher to many. Raised by Deacon & Mrs. Willie J. Brown, she learned the Word of God at an early age. As a child Linda learned of her adoption. “I understand what it means to be chosen. As an adoptee I count an honor and a privilege to have the parents that God chose for me. They chose me. They could have had any child, but they chose me. In that same light I thank God for choosing me to be who I am and growing to be as a daughter, mother, grandmother and in my calling as a minister of the Gospel. Nothing that is experienced do I take lightly."She learned the Word of God by example and by spending time with her late father, Dea. Willie Brown, by studying their Sunday School lesson. Saved at the early age of 9, Elder B., as she is sometimes called, began her ministry as assistant Sunday School teacher by the time she was 15. After graduating from high school, she attended Gloucester County College and later served 12 years in the U. S. Army. While completing her degree in Human Service Management, Elder B serves as a volunteer mentor to women who are transitioning from prison to the community and is a church planter.Called to the preaching ministry in 1991 (but ran until yielding the Holy Spirit in 2002)she served in various churches as Choir Director, Adult Sunday School teacher, Assistant Bible Study teacher, Certified Lay Speaker, Workshop presenter, Director of Worship, Biblical School Administrator and Church Plant Ministries Administrator. An honored graduate of the Sure Foundation Theological Institute, Elder B. excelled in all her studies and graduated with a 3.5 GPA.Elder Linda Brown has trained her three children in the nurture and admonition of the LORD. Now as a grandmother she enjoys spoiling her grand children, listening to music, watching and playing sports and encouraging others. She is constantly teaching and encouraging! Elder B was ordained into the pastoral ministry in May of 2002 and was lifted to the office of Elder in 2006. Elder B is an entrepreneur and developed an company that builds the body of Christ through personal coaching and consulting in church growth and development, leadership training and discipleship. She is also cofounder of Victorious Fashions, a retail and image consulting company. Her favorite scripture is, “I will bless the LORD at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1) “I learned what true worship is through many tests and trials to include having 3 stroke-like episodes that left me bedridden and later on a walker. But God stepped in and healed me – spirit, soul and body. Today I can truly “bless the LORD” no matter what happens. My relationship with God through Jesus Christ is something I love to share to all who will listen. He has been soooooo good to me!”
