About Me

There's not a whole lot to say about myself for now. I love my life. But I am so willing to change my surroundings! I like to do do just about everything outdoors and I love to cook. I think maybe someday I would like to go to Culinary school. I really want to own a Bed and Breakfast or a Bar when I retire, not sure where or which, yet. I have a lot of time to decide. I just want to spend time with the man I love for now. I found a great man and couldn't be happier. Well I guess I would be if he were here.. But patience is a virtue right?? I just like hanging out with my friends and traveling around in the area to see whats hidden. You'd be amazed at the cool places no one ever really sees cause there in a rush to get somewhere. I just found my kids after 20 and 18 years! My kids are not only smart AND great looking, they are themselves, and that's all I could ask for!!! But I know which I speak of when I say my kids r not only great lookin, but GREAT!!!! I am so incredibly happy! My kids are fantastic! Smart and funny and everything I could ever ask for! I get to meet them in JUNE! Really stunned and excited at the same time. They have A LOT of family waiting to meet them. To put my arms around them would be the best early birthday present EVER! The military has given me alot, almost EVERY FRIEND and A LOT of family members! I am so proud to be in the United States Navy, and Prouder than anything that my friends are in the service as well. I am very Proud of my Armed Services and wish we would could all be together soon and all that crap will be over soon so I can begin my life again! I injured my back about 3 years ago and now it may be the enad of my Navy career. I will go on never fear. Just have to shift my priorities. I love bubble baths and taking time out for myself! I can't change anything but myself and I'm okay with that! The me time is a plus, I need it here living on the rock! This place is enough to drive a gal nuts! I found a terrific man, we'll see how that goes... war is hell on a relationship!

My Interests

I love to do just about everything! camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, picnics, frisbee, swap meets...lol, and generally just walking around. I can't do most of those things anymore, my back won't let me anymore. I LOVE to cook and if I don't know how to cook something, I soon will. I experiment a lot with food. I go out to eat at least 3 times a month, in Oak Harbor theres not a whole lot to choose from. Most of the places I find are off the beaten path. I like my job but it's not my life. I watch a lot of TV, mostly prime time TV. I watch CSI religiously. all three of them. If it's raining you'll find me curled up watching TV, movies or a good book. I am a homebody who lets loose when the opportunity arises. I am just waiting for the second half of my life to begin. I can't friggin wait!!Oh and did I mention I LOVE FOOTBALL?? I LOOOVE FOOTBALL! But I am pretty damn pissed about the Bengals and Ohio State this year... NEXT YEAR dammit!

I'd like to meet:

I want to meet my kids! Now that we have found eachother, it's just a matter of time!! I guess I now have a couple of people, Shawn and Jessica on my to meet list huh? I love you guys! Life is a crap shoot, you either get what you want or not! There is so much in life that's in between it's frightening. I believe in life figuring itself out I guess??? We will see in the next few years... and to meet Kevin Costner...lol. now I am Shallow again for your amusement.... I want to see my man again! He's so damn good looking, and smart, and well, just so everything...lol. Stupid Afghanistan!

I think I am still stuck in the 80s sometimes. I am glad INXS is back and I'm glad they have JD Fortune as a frontman. I listen to every kind of music but rap. Not really my style. I am a listener, not really a dancer unless I have liquid courage. I have been listening to a lot more Metal from the bands in the area, a lot are from W A Y back when! Go friggin 80s! I recently found Dee Sniders kids band, Baptized by Fire... friggin awesome.. check em out. The bands on my profile are ones I wholeheartedly support. Give em a look! I love Jazz and crooners.. wish we had Dean Martin back, but Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr are great! So I have a different view on music... who the hell doesn't! I just got the new Bruce Springsteen... fucking "A" wow! That man just gets better! sounding.. not looking.

I love low rate no budget films as well as box office smashes. I rarely go to the movies, just rent em when they come out on DVD. I'm starting to get more into Horror flicks more. Yeah for gore!I want to see Enchanted and Legend, oh and CloverField!

Books:

I read all kinds of books, mostly romance, but lately I have been reading more horror, Sci-Fi, murder mystery and stranger novels. If there's a mix of vampires and sex... the better it is! Time travel and magic is another good twist I've read recently. I speed read, so I go thru books like mad. I wish that Nora Roberts wrote faster sometimes...lol.
