I love to read and do it as much as I can. I love to learn new things about anything. Learning is the art that keeps me happy. I love art museums and live theatre, horror movies and lunch in Rhodes Park. I am also a struggling writer. I have written one novel that I keep editing in perpetuity. One day it will be ready for publication, though.
"I am a man and men are animals that tell stories. This is a gift from God, who spoke our species into being, but left the end of our story untold. That mystery is troubling to us. How could it be otherwise? Without the final part, we think, how are we to make sense of all that came before: which is to say, our lives? So we make stories of our own, in fevered and enviuos imitation of our Maker, hoping that we'll tell, by chance, what God left untold. And finishing our tale, come to understand why we born."
Tori Amos, Smashing Pumpkins, Teitur, Melissa Etheridge, Bjork, Linkin Park, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Mozart, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Coltrane, Miles Davis, Melissa Williamson, and so many others I can not begin to name them all.
Donna Hayword - "Laura, if I had a nickel for every cigarette your mom smoked, I'd be dead." Anything by David Lynch. Fire Walk With Me, Wild At Heart, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, etc. I have an affinity for French films, too. Horror movies: Poltergeist, Identity, Silence of the Lambs.
Previously on Twin Peaks... Other than a few shows I catch when the tube is on I don't watch much television. I do own the complete series of Twin Peaks and The Critic and have a special place in my heart for The Kids in the Hall. The Simpsons is the greatest show of all time. I love Doctor Who, the old stuff and the new.
