Los Infernos are a five-piece rock 'n' roll combo hailing from Riverside, California, situated east of Los Angeles between the City of Angels and the Mojave desert. The band's vigorous brand of garage 'n' country punk should make them a favorite of the current tattooed-dice, hot-rods-and-devils crowd, but it's clear that their influences take them beyond narrow definitions. These guys sound like they're more indebted to X, the Flesheaters and Lazy Cowgirls than to "The Nuge" or AC/DC; they've got more on the ball than most groups currently attempting to purvey the twangy punk-a-killbilly thing.
Los Infernos Rock & Roll Nightmare was released on Alternative Tentacles Records, and features 12 high-energy outings complete with tasteful guitar work, earnest lyrics and catchy choruses (which at times sound surprisingly like vintage Naked Raygun). Los Infernos are reputed to be a very hot live act, so pick up the albums and catch them when you can.
