I'm a Sheffield born singer/songwriter and have been writing since the age of 14 and playing guitar since the tender age of 10. On my migration down south to the warmer climes of London in 1996, I brought with me an unusual mix of heatbreaking ballads, high energy political musings and thought provoking feminist tunes.My first self funded album 'Before you Go' is a 16 track tribute to the past 15 years of my work; reflecting early struggles with indigestable politics in 'changes for a Reason' and the tragic consequences of ego driven power in 'Crazy Wars' and 'Elegy'; a tribute to 9/11.My passion for music in theatre is celebrated here on tracks such as 'Sappho' and 'Marianna's' song, both written for the contemporary theatre production of 'Sapphic Circle' and the historic 'Measure for Measure' respectively.I am currently working on a second album 'Feathers Not Stones'; so watch this space.
