Fresh from NYC...
KAE, or KAE'DAQ as he's known to the world, came to fruition as an artist in 1997 after buying a second hand karaoke machine and recording drunken anthems in his basement with his boy DUTCH. Shortly after, his cousin SUPERB and Perb's right hand man, "CRAK" joined in the fun. As the songs got better, the four of them decided to form a group: C.O.M.A. After graduating from the kareoke into slightly more professional recording equipment, they added another cousin of theirs into the group, "AGE".
From 1997 to 1999, C.O.M.A. worked tirelessly, self-producing and linking up with then unknown producer MALAK (now known as TONY TANK) and recording just about every day on a still-primitive recording setup. The group ended up recording over 100 full length songs in this period, the bulk of which are lost as the masters went missing. Kae also dabbled in solo recording, collabing with Tony Tank on the critically acclaimed single "Apocalypse" where he let rap fans know that "the god will shine black light to lead them through the worst."
In late 1999 after being completely disgusted with the quality of rap music the past few years, Kae took a leave of absence from C.O.M.A. to reflect on life and deal with personal issues. By then the rest of C.O.M.A. had stopped recording in order to concentrate other interests.
In 2001 Kae'daq briefly returned as a solo artist and a PRODUCER, showing a new introspective side which suprisingly mixed well with his detailed street lyricism and dropped critically acclaimed songs such as "The Bleeding Pen", "The 7th Sense", and "Born Alone, Die Alone". He re-linked with long time collaborator Tony Tank and released "Live This Life", "The Scholar", and "Throw Back", in which he demanded that the streets create a flag for Brooklyn just so that he can wrapped in it in case of his death.
Kae took another lay off after 2001 and returned in 2005, releasing "Written"...
Inspired by the death of authentic NYC hip-hop, Kae is back with a vengeance, and he aint goin' fuckin nowhere for a minute. Clones, rap pricks, piranhas and crabs in the barrel will be dealt with at the same time corporations will have their smoke inhaled and their mirrors smashed.
Heads should prepare for vintage NYC style lyricism although it's not clear whether Kae is working on a Kae'daq Album or a C.O.M.A. album. He's also featured on a few new mixtapes and might have one of his own in the works shortly. But you can most definately expect to see some KAE'DAQ related releases in your local stores.. and soon!
