My life isn't so boring that I have to make things up. Simply put, that's how it is. My "adventures" or whatnot have been pretty wild, but they've been real. And I'M real. I like to read, exercise, cook, watch movies, play some sports, dance a bit, go for walks, travel some, write music and perform it for the benefit of others (and I don't have to get paid to perform -- though the money does come in handy).
All in all I'd like to meet people who are real. I don't mean just males, but females, too. I'm a respector of all people, regardless of sex, race, or religion. We have this one shot in this one life at being real, right? Why waste it in being somebody we're not?Otherwise, I would LOVE to meet Sir Elton John (the director of the Seattle Men's Chorus said I sort of sound like him when I sing), George Michael, Jack from the 4th season of Project Runway (Bravo network), Cyndi Lauper, Kevin Kline, Steven Spielberg, and others. I guess I could say "my da" since he's been missing since I was 17 (he left mum and I a week before Christmas... we tried for 3 years to find out where he went and to this day I have no idea whether or not he's dead or alive).
My styles of music vary. I like the contemporary, alternative, dance, house, techno, and I LOVE the 80s (Hi!). I also like some broadway tunes, big band, swoon-types, easy-listening, classical music and opera (did I mention I was in La Boheme for the Portland Metropolitan Opera when I was in the 6th grade? IT'S TRUE!!). I have to be in the mood for country or even some of teh hip-hop stuff. But I DO NOT like grunge, hard core metal, or rap. Naw. No thanks, G.
This is a hard subject for me. I LOVE MOVIES! I REALLY like the classics, even silent films. I don't mind foreign films, but only if it has subtitles (I think dubbed is cheesy). But I'm an epic fan for the most part. For example, I really like "Schindler's List," "The Pianist," and other old ones like "Gone With The Wind" and "The Wizard of Oz" (who said "The Wizard of Oz" isn't an epic?! Why I otta...!!). But I don't get into slasher flicks. What's the point? They're gross.
I'm a HUGE Bravo Network watcher! When it comes to other channels, programs and whatnot, I really don't know what all is going on. At least Bravo plays repeats so that I can watch repeats when necessary (my life is rather busy as of late!).
Don't know what I could tell you regarding my favorite books. But my favorite authors are Dan Brown, Michael Chrichton, John Grisham, and Chris Rice.
I have to say my personal hero is my Steven. All in all, though, a hero, to me, is someone who lends a helping hand simply because they can without asking or expecting anything in return. They don't have to think twice about it... they just do it.
