My objective is to finish several good paintings and present them in an open studio format ....Currently I'm working through a theme relating to the 9TH Fairway at the Maidstone Golf Course in East Hampton. I feel the need to document and record my surroundings because by doing so I am creating a visual time capsule. In choosing to paint the 9TH Fairway and study it's design and surrounding landscape, I've grown to respect the permanence of its shape and form through the changing light and varying weather patterns.
