WE'RE ENGAGED!!!!

About Me

My beautiful wife and I live in downtown Chicago and I attend Moody Bible Institute. I'm a Pastoral Studies major with a pre-seminary emphasis. To answer the questions, yes its windy and YES ITS FREEZING COLD! But we're having a blast even though we miss people back home. I am a server at Lawry's the Prime Rib to pay the bills while I restart my education. I write, read and love to have deep and meaningful theological, philosophical, literary or pretty much any conversation that makes me think. Thats me in a very brief nutshell.

You scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan. You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

What's your theological worldview?
created with QuizFarm.com Whats funny is that apparently I am more Roman Catholic than Liberal. Ha. So true. Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me. Within Thy wounds hide me. Suffer me not to be separated from Thee. From the malignant enemy, defend me. In the hour of my death, call me. And bid me come to Thee. That with Thy saints I may praise Thee. Forever and ever. Music:

I love all sorts of things from Frank Sinatra to Slow Gherkin to Classical. Some things I'd rather not mention too. Hey dont judge me! We all have our closet favorites...

Movies:

I like movies that make you think... Memento, Primer, Dumb and Dumber, things like that.

Television:

Lost, The Office, Law and Order (the original), American Gladiator, Family Guy, and most everything on the history channel... pretty much nerdy stuff.

Books:

Bible (ed. God), The New York Trilogy (Auster), Les Miserables (Hugo), Foe (Coetzee), Waiting for the Barbarians (Coetzee), Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus (Wittgenstein), A Case for Amillinnialism (Riddlebager), House Divided: The Break-up of Dispensational Theology (Bahnsen), The Apocolypse Code (Hanegraaff), Our Father Abraham (Wilson), Simply Christian (Wright) and ANYTHING by AW Tozer. I love a lot more but those are SOME of the top picks.... though right now I have a strong love/hate relationship with Amazon.com... errrrrrr!

Heroes:

I was a big Mighty Mouse fan as a kid... does that count? But I really admire people who have gone through horrible things in life and by God's grace still come out smiling, and joyful and dont let their negative experiences harded them but instead learn from them and turn them around to do something good with. I admire those in the faith who have paved the way for the Church to be where it is now. Greats like the Apostles, Origin, Clement, Augustine, Luther, Calvin, Sproul and so many others. And championship hotdog eaters... ok... wow. have you seen those people eat!? its amazing! really gross... but amazing!
