I love to dance. I won awards for dancing back in the 70's. Dancing is in the blood. Our dad was a number one Limbo dancer and won all contest he entered. Our Aunt was a great dancer, she even had the chance to dance with Gene Kelly. Our great-grandfather was a dance instructor (we never had a chance to see him dance). My sister and brother were always number one at the disco dances (yes, long ago, but hey we were young *smile*, but were rock n' rollers). Dancing is in the blood. We are all self taught dancers.
About me. Things I love and enjoy!
Probably more then you want to know ...
I love traveling in my car with the music blasting. I've been known to be headed to a certain destination and I've gone right by it because the tunes were too good to turn off. When I am in cruise mode, I'm not slowin down. Yes, I've missed exits and turn offs because I wasn't paying attention (I didn't want to get out of the hammer lane 75 m.p.h. +). You give me good tunes and I can cruise forever and ever and ever!
I luv cruising in my Dodge Ram - Hemi pick up truck (I got a new truck after all). I wasn't going to get a new truck, but I saw that baby sitting on the lot and I knew I had to have it! I love my truck!!!!
I decided either I want to add on to the house we are in or I want to find a small piece of land to purchase just so we have some place to get away to! ((*smile*)) anyone have a small piece of ground in PA. they want to sell at a reasonable price?I also have my 1999 Grand-Am SE (NOW FOR SALE) and my 1980 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ. Can someone please tell me what LJ stands for. That is what is on my grand prix and I don't have a clue what LJ stands for. My Grand Prix is my baby. She's kind of being over hauled right now and I can't wait until she's on the road again! I've only been waiting on my guys to get her ready for hmmmmmmm 5 yrs.. Right now she's sitting in the garage collecting dust :-( There just isn't enough hours in a day to do all you want to do. I'll probably be 60 yrs. old before she sees the road again. One good thing about it, if there is a good thing ... the mileage stays down as long as I can't drive her :-).
Other things I like are, trucking in the big rig from time to time, reading, watching TV, dancing, remodeling, decorating, good movies, good food (seafood & steaks),and my non-profit organization.
My all time favorite place to be is anywhere there is water and peace. I love the ocean. I especially love the sound of water ..... I get excited over thunder storms and pouring rain! I love the sound of water so much that this year ~2007~ I finally talked hubby into a small pond out back. It's great for winding down in the evenings!
I am not a material type person. Although I like nice things, they are not what are important to me. What is more important to me over material items are my photo's of family, friends and special occasions. Don't mess with my photo's!
I do like to dress up from time to time, but I am not a candle light or rose kind of person. And I don't like roses! I love carnations.
Give me a baggy shirt, jeans, sweats and bare feet and I am happy! I like good parties from time to time (can't even remember the last party I was at that wasn't a drag! Friends are getting old and trying to live up to a certain image I guess, but boy can some of those parties be BORING!)
I can drink beer, but it is not tops on my list. I am a whiskey drinker 100%. I don't drink alot or often, but when I do I prefer whiskey over beer ask my sister *LOL*!). I like to spend my time with friends, where the music is good, the conversation is interesting, funny or dirty talk and everyone is having a great time! I will leave a party where there is a fight or it is just in a dull mode! It's gotta be hoppin for me to stay.
I do like to be remembered on my birthday a simple "Happy Birthday" and card make me happy. Gifts and parties make me happy to, but I'm not going to break down and cry if it happens I don't get one :-) Three occasions that are important to me are anniversaries, birthdays and Christmas ... any other day is just another day to me!
I love family ... all my family! My non-profit organization is one of my many top priorities. I love designing homepages and graphics. I spend a lot of time designing homepages for myself and others. I'm pretty mellow & easy going most times, but there are times when I don't mind letting my hair down and having fun!
Yes, I am married. 25 years this year! (Actually married 25 this year 2007, together 27). Our Silver Anniversary was this year 2007.
My hubby has been a truck driver for 39 years. I don't actually know how many miles are under his belt, but it's a lot. Trucking has sure caused me alot of stress over the years worrying about everything from the money, fuel and weather. Now I spend my time worrying about three out on the road during the winter. Two of our sons also drive big rig. The only time you don't worry is the weekend. They drive for their dad and I. Good, hard workers.
I have three wonderful sons. They get on my nerves from time to time, but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I will go to great lengths for my boys. My boys are my world. I am so lucky to have them!
I have my beautiful grand children Mykayla, Dakota, Summer, and Audrina. I also have my handsome stepson Robby. All of them are beautiful!
Oh and "I love Cats!!!" I am known in town as the cat lady ... And they are all spoiled rotten too! Here are photos of my baby's inside. I will be sharing photos of the baby's I take care of outside.
.. Create Your Own
These are the babys I care for outside. There are 8 of them total. People just drop 'em off here and I take care of them. No I don't know they drop 'em off until I see a baby roaming around crying outside. Then I tuck them under my wing.
I have dry food and water out there all day and night. I feed them canned food twice a day. They have access to the basement in case it rains outside. I have a umbrella over their food and water so they can eat without the sun beating on them. Even though they are outside I spoil them just as much as my inside cats. I want to bring them in, but hubby gave me a choice, the cats or him.
It does get costly caring for all of them. The 18 I have inside and the 8 outside. Yes I do take the outside cats to the vet if they are sick and I spend the money to have them fixed. I know it's nuts, but it's better that they get to live, verses harm coming to them because someone else didn't want the damn responsibility. Meet the little angels that live in my backyard and basement.
..
I learned about myspace because of my son (the Slipknot nut!). Mom can keep an eye on her kiddo while he's playing in here ..... and make new friends along the way. He's very verbal and outspoken. Many times I am ask by family members and some outsiders why I don't put my foot down on what he listens to. It's just music and they are just words. It's not like he don't hear them every where he goes. I don't know anyone who don't cuss from time to time (including myself). I am not going to interfer with his chance to explore and his freedom of choice. Yes, some of it is really nasty, but it's just music. I didn't say I like the music, but he does. Strange how some adults can call some of the music cool, funny and laugh at the lyrics, but let a kid listen to it and that's a different story. I've never seen or known so many hypocrites in my whole life. Funny how certain things are ok for some, but not others. I do put my foot down most times, but you know you can't shelter them from the real world every single day of the week. I personally feel this world is molding kids to be the way the world thinks and wants them to be. They are not allowing kids to be who they are or want to be. As long as there is no physical harm or injury being done to others what does it matter? I say to all,"MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!"
Isn't it amazing how when you grow up everyone around you knows what's best for you? We have so many mothers and fathers who seem to know everything that is good for us, bad for us etc.. No one gave a damn when I was a kid growing up. But now everyone is an authority on what's good for me or what's wrong for me. Again I say, "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS". People I don't even know, never met, seem to think they know everything that's right/wrong for me. Don't you just get sick of watching the news and hearing all the things that are wrong with us? We're too fat, too thin, a bunch of drinkers and dopers. How everything I chose in my life is bad for the world. Truth is I do everything they say is bad for me and the world. If I give it all up GUESS WHAT? I'll die! My money, my body, my life yet the world is an authority on what's good and what's bad for me. I use to have this saying and it still holds true .... "I MAY NOT ALWAYS BE PERFECT, BUT I AM ALWAYS ME" ....
This is my other homepage. Where I am usually at remodeling and decorating.
I'd like to find and hear from all friends from years ago. Time period mid to late 70's. Drop me a line! Hey I like making new friends too .... so don't be shy .. stop in and say "HI!"
I love all kinds of music. There's some stuff I don't consider music, but hey everyone has different taste .. right? I'm more into the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, some 90's and I even like some of the music of 2000 + like .... Matchbox Twenty, Nickleback, Maroon 5, I like some songs by "Stone Sour" one of my favorites is "Inhale".
Sorry, but I don't head bang. Head banging gives me headaches and makes me dizzy .... *LOL* I pretty much like all music just depends on the mood, kind of day and where I am at!
My favorites are/were:Molly Hatchet, AC/DC, Areosmith, BTO, Moody Blues, Blue Oyster Cult, Boston, Journey, Todd Rundgren, Rick Derringer, Bob Seger, Nantucket, Alex Harvey, Southside Johnny, REO, 38 Special, Pink Floyd, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, Rob Zombie, Fuel, The Cult and more.
I love the voices of 10 Years and the voice of Corey Taylor of Stone Sour when he sings "Inhale" without that screaming. Yes, kids he's great for you, but us older ones like that smooth, mellow tone sometimes *LOL* ....
Sometimes you just wish you could go back in time. Other times you are happy to be where you are! Least for me anyway! But one thing is for sure .. they sure didn't make guys in my days, like they do now. I thought long hair rocked back then, but then they just let it hang. Guys these days have style and a class of their own and OOOOOOHHHHH LA LA! Yes, it's true even us older ladies eat our hearts out HA HA HA! We're not groupies, we're just wishful thinkers *lol* ......
Too many to mention. I like a lot of movies. I don't do spookies though ... no way ... nope! I like thrillers, edge of your seat, catch your breath movies. Tear jerkers, and movies with a ending you never saw coming!
My all time favs are: Dennis Quaid, Nicholas Cage, Tommy Lee Jones, David Spade, Giovanni Ribisi, James Woods, Richard Gere, James Belushi, Treat Williams, Lois Gosset, Jr; James Garner, Morgan Freeman, Danny Glover, Goldie Hawn, Susan Sarandon, Gary Sinise. These are some of my favorites. There are more, but these are some of my all time favorite actors.
I like all the forensic shows on Court TV in the evening. CSI, Without A Trace, Cold Case, Crossing Jordan, Ghost Whisperer, Ugly Betty, Law & Order, Two and a Half men .... That's pretty much all I watch besides the news.
