In the summer of 2005 five guys, Trevor, Matt, Brian, Adam, and Erik got together and started the Emo/Screamo band called "Tribute to the Hopeless." They had some solid songs and played a few shows at local places including Cole Valley Christian High School. By the Fall of 2006, Matt and Adam departed for college which left the remaining guys without a bass player and drummer.
Tribute to the Hopeless was done officially, but quickly coming behind it was The Company...an Indie/Rock band fronted again by Trevor Powers.
Still without a drummer and bass player, the guys began playing shows in various coffee shops advertising their 4 song demo called "Formalities." This began to get them a very small fanbase in Boise but they still wanted to take their sound to something above acoustic shows in local coffee houses. They began to write new material meant for a complete band and started looking for a drummer and bass player. After countless months of searching Boise for committed and dedicated bandmates, they finally located a drummer named Clay through Campus Crusade for Christ at Boise State University. Clay told Erik and Trevor of a bass player he knew named Matt, and after their first practice as a band, they knew that everything was meant to be.
As the four guys continue to practice, their sound gets more and more defined. The Company has shared the stage with the bands: The Classic Crime, Sullivan, Just Surrender, Powerspace, Kill Hannah, Over It, Everybody Else, Self Against City, Beneath The Surface, A Rotterdam November, Saturday Morning Heroes, Crossfire, Resident Hero, and Break The Ice.
