leaving the country, being chill, puttering about in the garden, anthills, español, water, hanging out with trees, bookshelves, dancing/watching people dance, waking up, peanut butter, black coffee, cats, skipping rocks, musical instruments, fruit, rocking chairs, tools, bees, mail, the sun, alamingos, sustainable builders, black and white photographs, varieties of social anxiety, good lighting, good hugs, pretty girls, fire.
well, you know, people, i guess. things, animals, drawers, chairs, apples. or, maybe i mean nobody new, since i don't have myspace friends that i haven't met in real life.
On occassion, I have been known to enjoy such things as: Eleanor Murray; Calle 13, music that isn't punk rock but feels like punk rock; Correo Aereo; Ariel B; Fear Kittens; Kickball; Desolation Wilderness; Yes Please; Reggaeton in the streets; The Blackberry Bushes; Polka Dot Dot Dot; the last Blow album; Filastine; Mick Turner; Boxcutter; Prince; pretty, sprawling instrumental music; 20's and 30's blues; soul; funk; experimental folk (maybe a genre?); Input/Output; Dj Fuckumup; the Hank Williams song "Pan American"; good cheese; oddities; chill electronic grooves; droney ambience; epic epics; extreme/harsh/in-your-face things in small doses; pretty acoustic music sung by women, or men with feminine voices and/or good beards; weird noise; the newest Filastine/Rupture mixtape, it's fantastic.
Of late: Quinceanera, Shortbus, Little Miss Sunshine, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Night on Earth, Little Children, Be Here to Love Me, Paris Je T'aime, Gleaming the Cube, The Revolution Will Not Be Televised, I'm Not There, Election, Pan's Labyrinth, Persepolis, Mineros del Diablo, Cocalero, Juno, Slaughterhouse Five.
I've refused to fill in anything in this category for quite some time, but I realized that I'm not acknowledging that there was a time when I watched a ridicufuckinglot of television and missed out on a lot of childhood fun by sitting in front of a god-damn screen. So, given the (unlikely) possibility that I got a television after 6 years of not having one (one that gets channels, that is), I'd probably waste my time with such programming as: music videos, The Golden Girls, Vegas, Rick Steeves, The Fall Guy, public access, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Max Headroom, possibly The Smurfs, deep sea documentaries, The Simpsons, Hannah Barbara cartoons, shows about old people, 50's sitcoms like Dobey Gilis and My Three Sons...god this would be a waste of time. I can almost feel myself getting lazier and more anti-social.
