My kids, Art, Cashmere, Music, The New York Yankees, Tuna Sushi, my friends, sitting in the sun, The NY Post sports section and Page 6, Veuve Clicquot, the way things smell, and my dysfunctional but lovable, neurotic jewish family also seem to play a huge part in my life. Many thanks & praises to Master Lowe. "Its only real if you believe"! I like nice linings in nice clothes, and other things like that. I am also just as happy in my jeans. t-shirts and Flip-Flops. I love NYC, but also love Palm Beach, Steamboat Springs, The Bay Area, LA and SD too. I like to travel, I like running into old friends. I love sleeping in late, and reading the NY Times in bed on Sunday.
Chaos is a friend of mine.

My favorite movie that I have seen recently was "Match Point", by Woody Allen. I pretty much love most of his films, as well as those by Martin Scorsece, Quentin Tarantino, The Farelley Brothers, Akira Kurosawa, The Cohen Brothers, Alfred Hitchcock, Mel Brooks, Billy Wilder, Francois Truffaut, Steven Spielberg & Stanley Kubrick.I also like westerns, good war movies, comedies, some sci-fi & scary stuff, musicals, old movies, anything that is truly an "Epic", & anything with or about the Marx Brothers. If I had to rattle off some movies that would be in my DVD collection, not that I would ever really watch them, it would surely include at least the following: Goodfellas, Jaws, The Lion King, The Godfather 1 and 2, Casino, Double Endemnity, Lawerence of Arabia, Diva, Schindler's List, The Pride of The Yankees, Pulp Fiction, There's Something About Mary, Animal House, The Blues Brothers, Slapshot, Casablanca, Treasure of The Sierra Madre, The Good The Bad & The Ugly & Many many more, but I can't do this anymore...
Not watching that much TV these days, but I am psyched for Jack Bauer's return once baseball is over. Other than that, Huff, Huff, Huff! I love this show! (OK, I know it was canceled, but I still loved it)Also, NY Yankees Baseball, News-CSPAN, ESPN SportsCenter, Tough Crowd, SNL, Frontline, American Dad, Simpsons, Southpark, 60 Minutes, Stuff on The History Channel, Documentaries about historical Figures, Ken Burns stuff, etc...
Currently reading "Humboldt's Gift", by Saul Bellow & "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides. Just finished "Palimpsest" by Gore Vidal, I loved it and cannot wait for the next memoir from Gore, "Point to Point Navigation", due out in November. Recently finished "Unanswerd Prayers" by Truman Capote (eh) & "Sweet & Low" by Rich Cohen (2 Thumbs Up). Great Story that at times was like reading into a mirror. Also started "Running with scissors" by Augusteen Buroughs, read 200 pages on a plane to Florida, but don't have the nerve or desire to finish it. Quick & humourous yes, but really boring & kind of unpleasant.I tend to like biographical, historical kind of stuff, I recently finished & really enjoyed "Lincoln", also by Gore Vidal. I have read all HST. Even the letters were very interesting. Love Vonnegut, JD Salinger, Faulkner, EE Cummings, & Ezra Pound, most of the older Russian Lit. that I read in college too. Again, I tend to like things that are sort of epic in scope, although, beautiful poems, images & certain lines from things are what I retain most.On Deck: "What's Bred In The Bone" by Robertson DaviesIf you know of a book that you think I might like, please let me know as I have been reading a ton latley.
