About Me

Definitely time for an update.
I graduated from Pacific University in 2005. I do nothing with my degree! That's right... nothing! I work for a college and have recently moved back to my hometown of Sacramento. I have a daughter, she just turned 10. She and I are still homesick for Oregon, but are adjusting--slowly but surely. We live next door to my best friend of nearly 30 years. It is crazy how things work out! It is nice to be with our family here... even if we miss everyone in Oregon greatly... and the weather! That's right... it's darn hot here! Now, from my previous text: I would love to travel, but have not had many opportunities. I did teach in Mexico, that was a wonderful experience! I definitely want to go back... and if I could live there I would! I have many people to thank for where I am today; so many who have been there for me every step of the way. I only hope that they know I am here too.

My Interests

I have many, many interests. As a Spanish major, I really enjoy learning about Latin America. My hope is to go back to school and get a degree in Latin American studies (sociology based)... we will see. I love music, movies, to be with friends/family, and to learn. Samantha is my number one interest of course! She is an on the go gal who still likes to kick it with her old mom. I am pretty lucky. I definitely enjoy all the same old things... the 80's were great--what else can I say!

My First Video ( Random )

For some it may be a long awaited relief to see this section change. I finally took a look at my myspace and realized, whoa... I really dorked out on this section in particular. It was difficult to reflect back and remember what led me to write this all... but I did, nonetheless. I can agree that I still want to meet many people--alive and dead. I enjoy listening to people's histories; their perspectives of times in their past.I think I will always want to meet Mr. T. I mean, can you imagine... I just want to ask, "How do you handle all those chains around your neck?" Bling, bling! Can you imagine hanging out with Chris Farley? I bet he was pretty funny... or Jack Black? I bet he is a pretty cool guy.I would love to meet up with people from the past and see how they are, where they have gone, and what they are doing now. It amazes me how people change and grow...Ooh... and I look forward to meeting family that I am learning about now. I find it fascinating, all consuming, and so exciting--even if it's been proven time and time again that I am a dork!

The Movie Of Your Life Is An Indie Flick
You do things your own way - and it's made for colorful times.
Your life hasn't turned out how anyone expected, thank goodness!
Your best movie matches: Clerks, Garden State, Napoleon Dynamite If Your Life Was a Movie, What Genre Would It Be?"....Hey laserlips, your momma was a snowblower!" There are just way too many to choose from... I am not particularly fond of epics or westerns... but I will give anything a chance! I pretty much love anything with Audrey Hepburn , of course Goonies (and many, many other movies of the 80's--especially with the Brat pack), Better Off Dead, The Last Starfighter, Garden State, Amores Perros, Lucia Lucia, El Crimen del Padre Amaro, I Heart Huckabees, the Gremlins, Grease (not 2), Training Day, Napoleon Dynamite, Good Will Hunting, The Karate Kid (I have the set... proud to say!)--same with Back to the Future, Disney (Toy Story will always be a fave), All About My Mother, High Fidelity, Coming to America, Beetlejuice, Kill Bill V1 & 2, Dazed and Confused, Groundhog Day, Rushmore, Grosse Pointe Blank, Lost in Translation, cheesy romantic movies, comedies, action flicks, Shrek, Before Night Falls, Old School, Big Fish, An Affair to Remember, oldies--but goodies.

Books:

There are so many great ones to choose from... I couldn't possibly choose. I really enjoy La Raza Cosmica... I have a lot about MLK, Jr. One of my favorites will always be The Catcher in the Rye. For the most part I like fiction... I think that sums it all up.

Heroes:

I have many! MLK Jr , my grandfather, professors, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Audrey Hepburn... the list goes on and on.
