About Me

Livin' the dream in Chi-town. If you are also living the dream in Chi-town, and feel some ungodly reason to make contact with every person in your age range in Chicago through myspace, and have no idea who I am other than a person on myspace, NO I do not want to be your friend, ok? I am happy with my friends that actually know me, thanks.Ahem, anyway. I think peanut butter and chocolate is the worst combination ever. Why ruin two good things? Um, I also do not like stinky cheese or mushrooms. I love wine, especially big crazy CA reds, yumm-o. I like tulips, bamboo, and cacti. I believe plants belong outside - boo to houseplants. I love my big gay dog. He is seriously gay, and I really love him and all of his hilarious gayness. I am an AZ girl who loves sunshine and hot hot hot weather, as long as it isn't humid. I am an avid Buffs fan, and I don't care if they don't win a game all season, they are still a grammatically incorrect juggernaut. Law school is boring and I like distractions. I am high maintenance and casual all rolled into one road rage-y, smiling package. I should be studying . . .Take the quiz:

My Interests

I like procrastinating. I enjoy watching crappy television instead of working on things like legal writing. Honestly, if I said my interests included "legal writing", would you really want to read the rest of my profile? I like yelling at people while I am driving, honking at other cars, and parking creatively. I am interested in either working for a fashion house in Europe or owning a vineyard or both. Other than that, I like to shop, eat amazing food, drink delicious wines, and shop. Oh, I also really enjoy shopping.
Myspace Layouts

I'd like to meet:

Michael Jordan. Yeah, he doesn't do much anymore, but he's still pretty badass.

Music:

I like to annoy Neill by listening to channel 472 which is basically the TRL playlist on repeat. Rihanna is his personal favorite. In general, Jimmy Buffett (oh yeah, I really want to meet him, too), Dispatch, Dave Matthews (I know it is cliche, but sometimes you just need a little Dave), Atmosphere, Common, Elton John (I can belt out "Tiny Dancer" like no other), Phil Collins, Jack Johnson, Tim McGraw, Michael Jackson, terrible 80's music, terrible radio rap - I really like pretty much everything - except all of these crappy "bands" like Creed and Nickelback and whatever else. They all sound the same and none of it is good. Gotta love 80s hair bands, and since I am in Chicago, I just can't get "Don't Stop Believin'" out of my head. Yeah Journey!!! Ooh, and Styx, man do I love Styx...
Vote for Murphy on PuppyWar !

Movies:

Go online and google "Loose Change". It is an intriguing movie everyone should at least see & consider. The Shawshank Redemption is my all time fave, any animated Disney movie, but ESPECIALLY the Emperor's New Groove. Office Space, Wedding Crashers, all of the Indiana Jones flicks, Drop Dead Fred (don't judge, it is hilarious), Dazed and Confused, Legends of the Fall (again, no judging, I accept that it is a terrible chick movie, yet I still cry everytime - speaking of crying, might as well throw The Notebook in, too). Ooh, Mean Girls, since it inspired the MG's, Legally Blonde (I firmly believe in Elle Woods), all of the Harry Potter's, Seinfeld & Eddie Izzard stand-up (they are sort-of movies), Silence of the Lambs, Blair Witch Project (you try watching that before going up to your cabin for the weekend, uh huh, scared the crap out of me), 12 Monkeys, The House of D, all of the Rocky series (but especially Rocky 4, when Stallone brings down communism single-handedly), The Cutting Edge, Christmas Vacation, too many to recall, but this is a good start . . .

Television:

nip/tuck, The O.C., Grey's Anatomy, Laguna Beach (team Kristin), Project Runway, Law & Order (all of them, but especially SVU), Amazing Race, Iron Chef America, Family Guy, American Dad, Aqua Teen, all home improvement shows on HGTV, and random documentaries on the History Channel or the Discovery-Times Channel. Friends and Sex & the City re-runs. [Bring back Temptation Island and Paradise Hotel, PLEASE!!!] The new race-based Survivor is also extremely entertaining, for all the wrong reasons - woohoo ratings grabbing! Pretty much anything that comes on while I should be studying will become my new favorite show . . .

Books:

Harry Potter (yeah it is trendy, but they are so damn good!!!), Island of the Blue Dolphins (yes, the one from like 6th grade, still tugs those heartstrings), Rogue State/Nation (our government terrifies me), Stephen King stuff (especially Hearts in Atlantis), Patricia Cornwell stuff, Anna Karenina (so sad, but such a great story), Devil in the White City, My Bloody Life, Clan of the Cave Bear series, The Princess Bride, The Neverending Story. This doesn't seem like much, but I have to read textbooks the size of my torso, so I don't have lots of time to read anything else . . .

Heroes:

Jimmy Buffett - because I want his life and love his attitude. Shannon, because she's awesome.
