Farmer's Tan Market

About Me

Early in 2004, Ian Randall teamed up with Paxton Rogers to create an eclectic mix of slam poetry and jazz bass riffs.
Adding guitarist Carter McKee, drummer Ryan Jeffries, trumpet player Mike Lodes and saxophone player Jordan Bay at the beginning of summer 2004, the group rapidly increased their repertoire of original music and covers.
In autumn 2004 FTM brought in guitarist Mark Knapp and continued to play sporadically. But as summer 2005 came, it appeared some changes would be made. Lodes would not be returning on trumpet, and Rogers had broken his hand and would not be able to play bass.
Farmer's Tan Market decided to march on, however, in the able hands of young bassist Jesse Farrar. During this period, FTM more than doubled its playlist and released its first set of home recordings, the five-song "The Let's Have Six EP."
FTM are currently working on recording another EP with Rogers back on bass. They plan to expand to new locations, and have their sights set on St. Louis.
