I am only on this site for making friends, and I have made some very dear ones! *(you all know who you are!!)* I am not someone who is trying to add numbers- I am about trying to find TRUE friends, and if you are really not interested in finding and making new friends- DO NOT ask to be added!! I am a firm believer in GOD and believe in ALL the things that HE can do for us when we cannot do them for ourselves! If it were not for my faith in HIM- I would be lost! But- that being said, I will not push my personal beliefs on you- because what could I hope to accomplish by doing so? I own and operate a Hair Salon (I've been in business for 14 years this past Sept. 14). I have made many friends through that avenue, but am looking to make more! Most of my friends are married and that makes it hard to get together or to go out and do things. I enjoy going out and having fun, but also, on occasion, like to sit home and just relax. I hate winter time, and absolutely live in the wrong state for what I would consider my ideal climate...but I have an established business here, and most all of my family lives here....so, what's a girl to do?

My Interests


I enjoy spending time with the people I care about, antiquing, garage/yard sales, reading, writing poetry, dining at little hide-away places, spending time with friends and family and loved ones. Being a friend and making more friends!! Getting away for a weekend, vacationing in the Caribbean (or anywhere warm!!) Spending time outdoors in the spring, summer, and fall with my baby. (Sunny-she's a shorthair terrier mutt) Spending time at my parent's lake home in Michigan. Going shopping with my best friend, mom, sister, or niece.

I'd like to meet:

I am only on this site looking to make new friends who are: BELIEVERS, Funny, Sincere, Sensitive, Honest, Caring, Confident, Reliable, Compassionate, Hard-working, and Fun-Loving!! FRIENDS who know how to have fun, but who can also be comfortable doing nothing at all! Someone who knows that although we may never meet, we can have a friendship that will cross all barriers and miles- and that should the situation arise where either is needed for the other..we would do whatever needed to be done to be there for the other person....because, really, isn't that what true friendship is all about?!?!

I have made some 'true' friends on this site that I will cherish for a lifetime- and they know who they are!!! It is so rare that you find true friends that you feel comfortable sharing anything with~~but it can be done on this site. I am a great listener- that is a benefit in my chosen profession~~we hear it all, we are like bartenders, and yet I know how to keep a confidence shared...I wouldn't still be in business if I could not do so!!! I have very broad shoulders and can help you carry your worries and fears- just let me know what it is that I can do for you- and I will try everything within my power to make it happen!!!

Music:

I prefer contemporary Christian/worship and 80's music, but also like easy listening and some country (especially for Karoake), jazz, blues and older rock. I don't listen to a whole lot of music, but when I do I prefer something that will make me feel good or that takes me back to memories of times past.

Movies:

I prefer action, drama or comedy, but the occasional sappy romance is ok. My all-time favorite movie is the original 'Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory', but I also love 'Purple Rain' and 'Dirty Dancing'

Television:

Love all of the CSI's and Law & Orders, Without a Trace, Crossing Jordon, House, Ghost Whisperer, American Idol, Big Brother, Rockstar, and Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

Books:

I read true crime, and murder/mysteries. Occasionally I read some other genre, but not often.

Heroes:

My parents, who have instilled in me the morals and values that I have, I know that I haven't always made them happy with the choices that I have made in my past-but they stood beside me nonetheless, and encouraged me to remember the lessons that I learned from those times and not repeat the same mistakes again.... & my grandmother on my father's side, who has such an incredible faith in God, and who always has a smile on her face. She always has/makes time for people, she's always ready with a hug and I have never heard a negative comment uttered about her by anyone (and she's 88!) My grandmother has volunteered for over 37 years at 'World Missionary Press'- an organization that prints and sends out religious tracts all over the world!!
