Hello. I am Gary_v11.0. That is not my real name. Well, neither is Gary, but that's a long story.In 1999 on a miscellaneous trip to Shotton, North Wales (don't ask), I met a guy called 'Dodgy' Steve, an old punk who upon noticing I was wearing a Sex Pistols sweatband decided to have a long nostalgic conversation about music in general. We got on very well. I told him I was in a band, and cos he took a shine to me he told me that one day I would be famous, and that he would look me up when I did. I hope he was not trying to penetrate me. Thinking it was unlikely I would ever venture that way again, I asked him how the hell he'd ever find me. He told me to go under the name Gary Eleven, after 'our amps go up to eleven' (Spinal Tap). He also told me to listen to Gang Of Four, cos they would have a comeback one day. I didn't believe him.Seven years on and it seems ol' Steve was right, the 'Four seem to be the blueprint of every fucking modern british indie band under the sun these days. So upon starting Touch Me I'm Sick with young Tomtron , Gary took the name you see before you now. Call me superstitious. Don't like horoscopes though.Anyway, as much as I like a story, let's move on.I like playing records. I am also one half of the dj duo Touch Me I'm Sick. We have no talent whatsoever. But as long as it keeps em dancing, as the saying goes. We enjoyed eight months of obscurely chosen disco dancing madness with our own club at The Engine Room, Brighton. I was also in a punk band called Poindexter. I tried to play lead guitar, and sometimes I opened my mouth and noise came out. I am also currently in an indie band called Cable Street Spy Club . Check us out. You might like it. I like disco dancing. I can bodypop - badly. I sometimes air guitar with such ferocity I will knock drinks out of people's hands within a three metre radius. I also like to air-saxophone to 80s sax-filled songs (especially David Bowie's 'Modern Love', or George Michael's 'Careless Whisper'). I sometimes like to line-dance at inappropriate moments. And once I dislocated my thumb air-keyboarding to 'Jump' by Van Halen. It didn't stop me playing to the end. God I'm professional. And you will probably see me playing records on other occasions.
