Photography, music.
My passion for photography involves blending natural lighting and a model's beauty. I do TFP shoots (Time for Prints) but expect the model to be responsible in showing up for the shoot, barring unforeseen events beyond her control.
I have been on this planet for five decades (yes that makes me fifty years old!) and I have been passionate about photography for three of those decades.
I especially like to shoot with aspiring models who need a good start or additions to their portfolio. I am easy to work with and comfortable with most styles and that are not violent or demeaning. I want a model to be open to trying different styles but only those within her level of comfort.
A model has the option to bring a friend as escort to the shoot. I believe a model should be safe and comfortable, and an escort usually provides both! If you are under 18, I will work with you as long as you have parental support.
My satisfaction comes in providing a model with a good set of photos for her portfolio. A sampling of the results is emailed within a day of the shoot. The unedited files are uploaded so the model can view and request the photos she wishes to be edited and retouched (maximum of 25). A CD of the edited photos is then delivered to the model.
Each model brings her personality and enthusiasm to the shoot and I welcome her ideas for poses and styles. If you have questions about outfits, my general answer is to bring whatever makes you feel GOOD wearing it. That translates into a nice, relaxed, and confident pose. I prefer natural makeup unless dictated otherwise by a particular theme.
I direct the model in posing but also allow her to pose herself. I have poses I wish to do based on style, outfit and location. But I leave the door open for creative and spontaneous shots!
So if you like my work, contact me to discuss a photo shoot. The result of working together creatively should be something that both of us should be proud of. That is what I strive to capture one frame at a time.
â€Ken Jacobs is an amazing person to work with. Professional at all times and very easy going. I had a lot of fun working with him and I highly recommend him as a photographer.â€
