good producers listen to more than rap

About Me

I make sample heavy beats using Acid 4.0, (some)Fruity Loops, Pro Tools(when its accessible), a Tascam 2488, and a MPC2000 or 4000 as equipment. I love the raw sound of underground hip hop(not rap get it right) but I don't disregard commercial rap completely as long as its lyrical and true to the essence. I also listen to a ridiculous amount of jazz, funk, soul, and other music that I incorporate in my production techniques. I just hate uninspiring southern krunk chant bullshit music which seems to rule the airwaves right now. I was probably one of the first 100 heads to have SouthernPlayalisticCadillacMuzik so its nothing personal in particular against the Southern region(so stop the hate mails). I do appreciate the value of the a sick club joint as much as the next person and I appreciate the value of every sub-genre hip hop has to offer but the words skeet or krunk will never reach my beats no matter what the $ end looks like. My ultimate goal in music is not to sell the most beats or become a world renound icon with girls in thongs feedin me grapes, i just have a strong desire to improve the state of hip hop and inspire better music overall. I'm not gonna pull the cliche' producer statement that I make beats with commercial or radio appeal because in all honesty that is not my primary target audience. I don't give a fuck about a&r's and industry vultures and their bullshit theories on how to accumulate cash and go 10 times platinum. I am a proud hip-hop purist and I just do me. If you don't like it don't listen. I prescribe to hip-hop not rap, there's a big fuckin difference. I put up new beats almost everyday because I got 1000's of em and I make about 10 a week. If your interested doing any business feel free to contact me through messages or comments. Also, I do sell kits of my sounds, samples, and drums for any righteous producers out there that are interested and down for the mission. Don't ask me to send free beats cds or kits unless I've already previously sold you a beat or kit. To all those inquisitive producers out there, do not insult my intelligence and ask me where I got a sample from for a particular beat. A good percentage of my sampling sources are listed under my influences but thats as much guidance as I can give you. I'm not doing your crate diggin for you and you shouldn't want me to, that's half the fun. Also, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT ask me to participate in a collaboration! I do this for a living and there's no one thats gonna "collab" on my rent, so don't even bother asking I won't respond. Also do not send me stupid fucking ads about dick enlargement pills or ringtones because I'm not going to let my comments board turn into the yellow pages. From now on I'm blocking everyone that sends me ads for non-related music products especially those that advertise those damn dick enlargement pills.
