About Me

...there's a special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it be now, 'tis not to come; if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come...

"...untie this leash around my neck so we can play..."

I am the father of five children. I have a bachelor degree in both Computer Science and Art. I am wanting to go to Law school. At this point in time, my kids are the most important thing in my life. It is because of them I am still in Topeka. I see my kids as often and whenever I get the chance.
There are basically three TV shows that I even bother to watch when I happen to be near my TV when they are on, Ghost Whisperer, Boston Legal and Las Vegas.
I like to read and study. I am a student of the occult, science and philosophy. I am a perpetual student. I believe that when I stop learning, I'll be dead.
My favorite artist are Matisse and Vermeer… and Renoir. My favorite composers are Tchaikovski and Beethoven, although I have become fond of Vivaldi and Chopin in recent years. My favorite ballet is Giselle, however, as far as classic individual selections go, “Fur Elise” and “Swan Lake” are my choice. And then, Rock&Roll… of course… what else.

Hmmmmm, let me think about this one for a while.

...okay, after thinking about it, this is who I want to meet...

A woman between 21 and 50 who plays guitar like Nancy Wilson, ...sings like Amy Lee, ...rocks like Atomic Blonde's lead singer, Dacia, ...has the on-stage charisma of Cherie Currie, and has the on-stage "hmmmm, Yeah" of Deb Ostrega.

...or, if such a woman doesn't exist, Cori Yarckin, heheheh.

Rocker chicks with talent!!! :)

Music:

Amy Lee is my favorite singer

Atomic Blonde is my favorite band

Nickelback and Buckcherry are tied for second...

And then there is Nancy Wilson's Guitar... Damn!!!

Movies:

Underworld and Underworld Evolution.

Actually anything with Kate Beckensale in it...

Television:

Currently Boston Legal, Las Vegas, Ghost Whisperer

Books:

The Unbearable Lightness of Being - I remember seeing this book featured on Oprah several years ago. I thought, hmmmm, maybe I should read it sometime. Never got around to it. Last Monday, August 13, 2007, I got home and I had a package from London, it was from the Dark Lady. She had sent me this book. That night I read it. If I were to catagorize the style of the English translation that she sent me, I would say it was as if written by Ayn Rand in a Kurt Vonnegut mood, if, that is Miss Rand was ever in a Kurt Vonnegut mood. From what I understand, Rand being a Victor Hugo fan, well... Vonnegut wouldn't seem like one of her favorites. :) But Kundera does it well. Myself, as an American that lived during that period, I really didn't quite understand the Czech point of view. This book is good. Milan Kundera is good :) Thank you, beautiful Lady, you have enriched my life immensly, once again :)
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain - This book is an excellent source of an application of Zen. Drawing using the methods in this book can be a means of meditation and "cognitive-cleansing." Heheheh, "cognitive-cleansing"? This can't be something new, can it?
The Romantic Manifesto - This is the book that, theoretically, was responsible for the demise of my marriage. Ask me sometime if you are interested. If not, still read it sometime and PAY ATTENTION!!! You will find that the wikipedia article does not do justice to Rand's real message, probahly because the author of the article is in the catagory of "critics" that Rand warns against.
Emperor's New Mind - This should be required reading for every Computer Science program.
Godel Escher Bach - Another CS required reading.
Silmarillion - Better than the Bible... A very good source for "metaphors"
Iliadand Odyssey - "Metaphorically rich." I actually believe these were Celtic oral traditions in origin and that the Greeks are the ones that finally wrote them down. A definite must for pagans for sure.
From the Ashes of Angels - This is a "must read" book from a "must read" author. Might change your view of reality. Actually it will change your view if you are paying attention.
Zen - The Path of Paradox This is a very good book on zen buddhism.
The Holographic Universe - So tell me why do people keep saying "bleep" instead of "fuck"?... PUSSIES!!!
The Once and Future King - "Metaphorically rich." Pure fiction, yep, but how can we really know that... hehehe.
Atlas Shrugged - Quite possibly one of the most important books ever written. If you don't come away believing in laissez-faire capitalism you weren't paying attention...
Works of Shakespeare - Of course, "metaphorically rich." Are all answers contained here? Maybe regarding the human experience... at least the music is in the words. Doesn't use the word "fuck" enough, though...
The Three Pillars of Zen - This is also very good book on zen buddhism.
Atlantis Blueprint - This is a very interesting book and is also one that tends to make you question the "established order" of things and what reality is.
Zen Training - A very good book on zen practice... if you read no other book on zen, read this one.
Book of Five Rings - a treatise on "military stategy"... Where zen and witchcraft meet, whether in the application of warfare or not? The actual "oyo" and "bunkai" of the "metaphors."
and more...
