About Me

Well, well, well...What about me do you want to know? I hate talking about myself. Well, here goes--I am 28 years old, living in the beautiful state of Minnesota. Granted, I'm not a big winter person, but there's just something about the 4 seasons. When I was younger, I was very quiet & shy. But, something happened in the last couple of years, & I have left my days of living in a shell behind me. I am a pretty positive & upbeat person, & I try to spread that light to others. People will call me a goofball, but I try to enjoy everyday life. Life's short, might as well enjoy it & have fun, right? My faith is important to me. I am currently going to school for ministry...I have given the sermon at church a few times, & I really enjoy doing that. I hope I have more opportunities to do so in the future. I love to help people, too, & interact with them. After all, God created each & every one of us as unique individuals. And, each of us has a story to tell. I love singing, whether it be at church or at karaoke. Music is good for the soul. :) I love to write, so I used to write something called "Raw In Review," which detailed the goings-on in professional wrestling (Yes, I said "wrestling") as well as my life. I was a HUGE WWE fan, but I don't have time for it like I once did. I also LOVE watching hockey! There's just something about the ice, sticks, puck, action, fights...LOL People don't expect that from a church-going gal like me ("Sweet Caroline"), but I like to get people to "expect the unexpected" from me. It's fun. :)

Let's see...Spending time with God & reading His Word...Spending time with family & friends (after all, they are the family we choose)...I LOVE music, singing, karaoke, going to concerts...I like watching & going to sporting events, especially hockey...I like writing, whether it be for everyone or journaling...I like speaking (I am a member of Toastmasters, & I have spoken at church)...And, I like to play this game called Texas Hold 'Em every once in a while for fun. :)

Music:

When it comes to music, I listen to just about anything & everything. I am a huge fan of music. You could catch me going to a Christian club one night, rocking out with bands such as P.O.D., & then the next night, you might see me going to a Neil Diamond concert with my mom ("Sweet Caroline...BOM! BOM! BOM!"). The following night, you may run into me while I'm kicking up my heels in my cowboy boots at a Garth Brooks concert. Maybe you'll see me at a Bon Jovi concert & then at some local establishments, checking out the local talent. Rock on! Good music is everywhere. Life needs a soundtrack, don't you think? :)

Television:

There is ONE show on television that I NEVER miss--WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment for you non-wrestling fans out there) Monday Night Raw! Yes, I am a wrestling fan..."To the extreme!" I must love it if I watch it ALL the time AND write a column about it. I don't miss a WWE Pay-Per-View. I'm not as consistent when it comes to watching WWE Friday Night SmackDown! I'm usually not home on Friday nights, so that causes a slight problem. I'm busy singing karaoke with my peeps from Deluxe! :)Aside from wrestling, I also like to watch hockey--GO MINNESOTA WILD! :)I am still in mourning over "Friends"...I watch the reruns whenever I can, even though I've seen them about a gazillion times!As for new shows on television, I have a couple that I have been watching: "Commander-In-Chief" starring Geena Davis is pretty good, as well as "Criminal Minds." Both of these shows are intelligently written, if I do say so.Reality television...I admit it..."Survivor" & "American Idol."
