About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorI just moved back to Phoenix after seven years of living in Tucson. Although I loved it there and consider it my home, I made the difficult decision to come back here to my family, my boyfriend, and better pay (Hey- Tucson's an amazingly appealing place to some).

I am a scientist by trade, and I'm very proud of my analytic side. I love working on brain teasers and puzzlers. However, I also have an artistic side that comes out when I have the time (which is desperately sought after but rarely found). You can usually find my projects scattered all over my apartment- half finished.Oh yeah...did I mention that I'm messy? I don't even think there are words to describe the clutter that can accumulate in my house. Unfortunately, "messy" is probably a word that many of my friends would use to describe me.B
Check out this flash animation...it's the funniest! It takes me back to my college days when my fellow physics geeks and I were procrastinating in the computer lab.

End of the world
Your Brain's Pattern
You have a dreamy mind, full of fancy and fantasy.
You have the ability to stay forever entertained with your thoughts.
People may say you're hard to read, but that's because you're so internally focused.
But when you do share what you're thinking, people are impressed with your imagination. What Pattern Is Your Brain?
Your Personality Is
Rational (NT)
You are both logical and creative. You are full of ideas.
You are so rational that you analyze everything. This drives people a little crazy!
Intelligence is important to you. You always like to be around smart people.
In fact, you're often a little short with people who don't impress you mentally.
You seem distant to some - but it's usually because you're deep in thought.
Those who understand you best are fellow Rationals.
In love, you tend to approach things with logic. You seek a compatible mate - who is also very intelligent.
At work, you tend to gravitate toward idea building careers - like programming, medicine, or academia.
With others, you are very honest and direct. People often can't take your criticism well.
As far as your looks go, you're coasting on what you were born with. You think fashion is silly.
On weekends, you spend most of your time thinking, experimenting with new ideas, or learning new things. The Three Question Personality Test

My Interests

Knowledge, dancing, art. Those are the biggies. Since there's no place for favorite artists, I'll list mine here. M.C. Escher, Salvador Dali, Michael Parkes, Scott Mutter. If you know any of them, you'll notice that I like the surreal. I also support local artists...check out First Fridays if you're anywhere near Phoenix. It's good times.

I'd like to meet:

I'm looking to run into old friends and meet new friends in the east Phoenix area.

Music:

I like pretty much anything that makes me smile and move to the beat. Unfortunately, that means I often don't listen to words, and I end up liking songs with really horrible or crude lyrics.
Typically, though... I like most bands that have been singin' since the 70's. I also love to dance to techno, sing along with Broadway melodies, and study to classical music or weird instrumental beats.

Movies:

The Thomas Crown Affair (1999), The Princess Bride, Contact, Witches of Eastwick, Catch Me if You Can, Matrix, The Gods Must Be Crazy I and II, Dead Again, Shakespeare in Love, Sliding Doors, Dogma, Chasing Amy...and more.
I like witty movies...mysteries and comedies that aren't gross. But I'll watch pretty much anything once...

Television:

The television is a Lindsay vortex that sucks me into a world far far away. Because of this, my TV is not set up to receive any stations...otherwise I sit down for one show and the next thing I know, I'm sucked in for hours. When a TV is on, though, I love to watch commercials. I'm always more interested in those than the shows. In fact, I record the Super Bowl every year just so I can fast forward through the game to watch the commercials without interruption. I'm not the typical American girl, I guess. ;)

My favorite commercial... available on Ebaum's world. You have to see this!

Honda Rube-Goldberg machine

Books:

I like sci fi, mystery, and philosofical novels...but I can get wrapped up in anything if the writing is good and I'm in the right mood.
Books that have changed the way I look at life: Illuminatus Trillogy, Candide, Stranger in a Strange land. There are others too...I'll get to listing them all eventually.
I have this tendency to start books, then leave them half read around my apartment as I get wrapped up in the opening pages of another story, so my repetiore of half-read books is almost as great as the books I've finished. So I've learned to read two books at a time. I usually try to go for one book that's deep and one that's enjoyable and relaxing.

Heroes:

Is it bad that I don't have any? I can say this though...the only person I trust wholly and completely in this world is my mom.
Your Power Color Is Lime Green
At Your Highest:

At Your Lowest:

You feel misunderstood, like you don't fit in.

In Love:

You have a tough exterior, but can be very dedicated.

How You're Attractive:

Your self-awareness and confidence lights up a room.

Your Eternal Question:

"What else do I need in my life?" What's Your Power Color?
