About Me

Create your own Friend Quiz here
First and foremost, I am a music geek. Yeah, lame, I know, but it's who I am.... I do like to play video games and other such nerdy stuff (heh, oh well). I have shortish straight chocolate brown hair, and greyish-bluish-green eyes. I have three brothers and a dead sister. Um, I'm terrified of spiders (well, most insects...) and being alone. I wish I could dance, but I have the white-girl-can't-dance syndrome. Seriously, I trip over my feet walking... I want to teach music. I like to think I have a great sense of humor... I'm really a little kid at heart. I have a pretty short attention span, and am easily amused. I like to draw, but am not very talented. I hate wearing shoes, so you'll usually catch me in flip-flops. I love pillows and color. I snort when I laugh. I sing and talk to myself almost constantly. I'm pretty passive, I've been accused of being a hippy more times that I care to remember. I hate coconut, pickles, and yams. Wow, there's a lot of random stuff for you! ;) I'm really tolerant and open minded. I have two tattoos so far. So yeah, any questions, go ahead and ask me. :)
Your wise quote is: "Love is life.
And if you miss love, you miss life" by
Leo Buscaglia.
Yes, love is indeed what you desire in your
life. If you have it or not is another matter,
but it is in your eyes the most important
feeling. You tend to be a romantic dreamer and
want you and your love to have that kind of
perfect love that you hear about in fairytales.
However that can be hard to find, but it
doesn't mean you are going to stop looking.

I'd like to meet:

Layout made by ~Misty K~

Meh. What I like in guys is that they can make me laugh, they love music, they are supportive and can handle my occasional dramatic mood swings, they are a great friend and I can talk to them about anything. Honesty is definitely important. As far as celebrities go, I'd like to meet Paul Mccartney (actually all the former Beatles... too bad John and George are gone...). Johnny Depp, not just because he's gorgeous, but he's interesting too. Natalie Portman too. There are more, I just can't really think of them right now...

Music:

The best word here is eclectic. I love music, all types. I guess if I'm a music major I better, huh? I especially love the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Def Leppard, Matchbox 20, Green Day, The Cars, System of a Down, Cheap Trick, Garth Brooks, Jewel, each of the Beatles' solo stuff, Simon and Garfunkel, Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, DORK, Plastic Parachute, The Temptations, Jason Mraz, older Michael Jackson (haha, some of those songs have lots of memories......... hehehehe), Elvis, the Eagles, Blink 182, CCR, Pat Benatar, The Doors, Godsmack, the Blues Brothers (hehe), jazz (very fun to play), Queen, Sum 41, Pink Floyd, Fall Out Boy, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and LOTS of others. Not as much of the pop stuff though. No Britney Spears or Hillary Duff! I do like Kelly Clarkson though. Most groups it depends on the song though. I don't like a whole lot of rap/hip hop/R&B, but i do like some. It was all I listened to like in '96, so that stuff is fine. I don't listen to a lot of techno, but it is completely the best music to dance to! (of course, my dancing is a scary, scary sight...) I love Gregorian Chant and traditional Celtic music. Instrumental music would be jazz, swing, ooh, Gustav Holst has amazing stuff. John Williams does the best movie soundtracks there are. Most of the instrumental stuff I like comes from playing it or hearing it in band at some point. So yeah. Broadway show tunes, especially all the songs from Les Miserables, Aida, Footloose, Rent, Wicked, Sweeney Todd, Phantom of the Opera, and many, many more thanks to my friends expanding my musical tastes..... I will listen to almost anything if the mood is right.

.............. ..

What RENT song are you?
You're "La Vie Boheme." You like to go out with your friends and have a good time and try to forget about everything that has you down. If you know all the words to this song, then you are a true RENThead.

Television:

I don't watch all that much anymore. I still watch random stuff. Firefly. CSI, and SVU. America's Next Top Model (what? some of the pictures are just amazing) Friends. I love the cartoon Hey Arnold! Ghost stories are way cool. I'm geeky enough to still watch some history channel and scifi channel. Oh well, at least I can admit it..... Guilty pleasure is A Shot of Love Tila Tequila (lol)

Books:

Harry Potter. The Redwall series by Brian Jacques. Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, of course. I like lots of fantasy. I also love Les Miserables, but I've only read the short (only 829 pages) version as of yet. 'Twill soon be changed. I like some Shakespeare, but it's easier to get into if you read it aloud, especially with other people (who know how to read the words!!!!!! Grrr, high school kinda ruined that part...). Dr. Seuss, especially the Lorax. I've just recently read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and I absolutely loved it. It spoke to me in the same way as The Catcher in the Rye. I love Wicked and the sequel Son of a Witch

Heroes:

I think heros are really everyday people. The person who is honest and returns your wallet. The person who turns in money that they find. The person who is friendly to the stressed out waitress. The person who holds the elevator for the mother with several small children. I am a big supporter of the heroic actions of the common person. It doesn't take fame to make a difference in somebody's life. And it doesn't take saving the whole world to make a hero. "I believe there's a hero in all of us." LOL, yeah, I'm quoting a superhero movie here (Spiderman 2, fyi), but that's what I think. Capes, tights, bright colors and funky costumes are cool in movies, games, and comic books, but that isn't real life. Ah shit, now I sound all deep and philosophical.... Oh well.
