About Me

Formed in late 2005, The EightyEights are a Staffordshire based Indie band. The name "The EightyEights" came about because of the year all four band members where born - 1988! During 2006 the band worked hard to get the songs they were writing perfect and to the highest level possible whilst playing the songs to many crowds along the way. Now with everything set, it seems 2007 will be the year for The EightyEights. They have already started booking dates around the UK and are also getting ready to take their songs into the studio to get some quality recordings done. Already this year the band has took part in their first competition, getting into the Semi Finals of the National Battle of the Bands, playing to around 300 people at the Civic Hall Bar in Wolverhampton and headlined at the world famous Cavern in Liverpool. We hope you enjoy listening to our songs half as much as we do playing them!
