About Me

I don't like talking about myself, but if you are here you must be interested.... I am a recovering workaholic who misses his daughter. I live for music, my daughter, nice people and am trying to travel more. I want memories more than "things" and do things for people because I want to, not because I have to. "action without condition" I am: Funny, not mean. Truck, not van. Music, not sports. Figurative, not literal. Ambitious, not lazy. Marie not Donnie. (OK neither.) Movies, not books. Cafe-racer, not cruiser. Real, not fake. Bruce, not Chuck. Loud, not soft. Bad Brains, not Bad Company. New Order, not New Edition. Late night, not early morning.

My Interests

My daughter, my work and music. And most recently travel not related to work or ballrooms. National Parks, streams and wildlife are a renewed interest. I wanna explore more of the outdoors, of myself and my friends (old and new).

I'd like to meet:

Friends, old and new. Any music loving-techno geek-dancing-stayin up late-ice cream (or cookie)eating-traveling-apprecitive and humble fool is a friend of mine. Introduce yourself.

Music:

New Order, Bad Brains, Electric Six, Miquel Migs, Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, Afrodite, Gang of 4. Jeez, I could go on for days. This is what I live for. I try to always have music around me. I've sorta realized I prefer stuff with energy (punk or dance). It's the sound of the music that hooks me though. The authority of Chuck D's voice. The power and fidelity of Pendulum. "Music is my life." 10 buck to whoever names that movie quote.

Movies:

Snatch, Fight Club, Hitchhikers Guide, Jacob's Ladder. But I can't forget: What Dreams May Come, The Decline of the Western Civilization, Sid & Nancy, Labyrinth (did I even come close to spelling that right?) and Spinal Tap. I really like movies with a message. And a good soundtrack doesn't hurt.

Television:

only some cop shows...OH YEAH AND FAMILY GUY! GIGITY GIGITY! But, I am a geek, so the Discovery Channel is a must. Mythbusters etc.

Books:

old: Bonfire of the Vanities, I Robot. new: Freakonomics

Heroes:

Peter Gabriel, Danny Elfman, Mark Granning, Bono. Although not really. These are all people I admire but it's hard to call them heroes. I always feel I could do more for others than I do, maybe that's it.
