I whispered in her ear, fear me dear, for I am Death!

About Me

I am, amongst other things, employed, uselessly educated, politically angry (I know how cliche that's become, but it doesn't stop me being right), domestically happy, musically obsessive, pedantic, a lover of tea and a practicioner of bass (the guitar, not the fish). I was thinking about what to write in this the other day and all I could come up with was that one day, before I die, I would like to experience a gunfight, not necessarily to be actively involved, but just to be there, feeling bullets zipping around and just drinking in the whole experience. It may seem weird, but I can live with it. I've always been driven by the beauty of things, film, art, music, everyday things, I have a very strong sense of nostalgia in me, the most unusual things can stir it up, certain combinations of picture and sound and smell give me that whole 'hairs on the back of the neck' thing. I know everybody gets that, but I actively seek it out. I like computer games and ancient history, I also enjoy subverting people's way of thinking. Viddy well little droogies, a right horrowshow vision for you do I have. Umm also...can i poke you in the eye?

My Interests

Music, film, books, skateboarding, politics, current events, debates on spirituality and the nature of existence, X-Box games, completing Morrowind, drinking tea, writing (I hope to make some badass films some day, probably not though), looking around and experiencing everything.

I'd like to meet:

NotTossers, I find there are two types of people in the world, tossers and notTossers, I prefer the latter. Preferably people who have something interesting to say, an unusual way of putting things and the ability to listen whilst retaining the ability to know when they are right. I'd like to have met Bill Hicks, I'd like to ask him what he thought of the world today. Apart from that, much the same as before (apart from the perfect girl thing), introverted, thoughtful people mostly. And everybody else. By the way, the reason I don't need to put the perfect girl thing in is because I 've already found her, well, she found me technically, but it's all the same :)

Music:

TTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL LLLLL... are pretty good, I also like all good music ever, but not the shit stuff.

Movies:

How about a top 5? Ok.

1. Blade Runner

2. A Clockwork Orange

3. Apocalypse Now

4. Dead Man's Shoes

5. The Star Wars saga, 1 to 6 (the new ones are a bit lame, but you have to put all 6 together).

Other than that I like a lot of Akira Kurosawa films, the Babycart Series, a few Tarantino's, war films, Japanese horror, the Aliens and Predator films (with the exception of AvP and Alien Resurrection). Loads of others.

Television:

It's bad for you.Smallville.

Books:

I will read any book presented before me, I have basically exhausted every book in my house, so if anyone wants to lend me anything quality, I'd be more than happy to accept. Currently reading the Dune books (I highly recommend), also reading the Sharpe series (which I also highly recommend)

Heroes:

"And this is your opinion of me? My faults by this calculation are heavy indeed. Perhaps these offences might have been overlooked, had not your pride been hurt by the confession of the scruples which long prevented my forming serious design on you. Had I concealed my struggles and flattered you. But disguise of every sort is my abhorrence." "God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into heaven. I can't live with that." "We train young men to drop fire on people. But their commanders won't allow them to write "fuck" on their airplanes because it's obscene!" "You're wrong, get over it."

My Blog

Haven't put one of these up in a while

I'm very concious of some proper patriotic (by that I mean American) videos on the 'Cool Videos' section, showing flag draped coffins with titles like 'Heroes' or 'Fallen Comrades', and I've been read...

Fight the fucking power

Who's up for a bit of civil war? Come on, lets start a REALLY big fight, knock out a few public buildings, raid a barracks or two and march on London. The British army is scattered across the world, i...

Talking a lot of utter bollocks.

I'm sitting here and trying to write. I think that is where I'm going wrong. I will say one thing for unhappiness, it makes you a much more prolific writer, hence I'm now having trouble writing. ...

Thinking, thinking of you.

So what next? Career wise everything is on hold, my only interest currently is...well...girls. Or a girl, just one will do me fine (unlike some of my peers), but do I chase the one in mind or do I let...

Read me and leave satisfied.

You will burn. I feel I have to write, but the words won't come easily, I don't even know what I want to write about. Let's try some automatic writing and see what comes out. I feel pretty good these ...

Freedom

It must be nice to be able to say exactly what you want to whoever you want. Without having to keep quiet around certain people and about certain things. I'd love to tell everyone I know exactly what ...

How to convey emotion through the medium of text.

I'm in an interesting mood at the moment, I'll try to explain. Everything is fine, I'm being intensely lazy, not working, sleeping late, minimum exercise, I feel pretty good in fact. But it seems that...

Oh God, oh Jesus Christ!

It's nearly over. With a bit of luck I will finish off my dissertation today, tomorrow if I do shit. I'm happy with it, but it doesn't escape that I've spent tens of thousands of pounds and (more impo...
