About Me


Hey all, My name is Ben and I play drums in a band called HanSolo
I have just completed my BA Hons Degree in Media studies and am now an aspiring Journalist. I am currently a man of leisure.
The following are some of the wonderful things that I like and make life worth living
A Fistful of Tacos - It's all about the non franchised Mexican eateries. Enjoy the Burritos and Corona with Lime. It's all about eating in restaruants, i love power dining and glasses of wine with meals. Try and eat al fresco whenever possible, it's better for the digestion.

Subway Sandwiches.The Chicken Pizziola on Hearty Italian or Honey Oat is the Shizznaz.
Pearl Masters MMX Drums- They sound very nice. Check out my pics for mine.
Zildjian K Cymbals. These also sound very nice.
Promark stick wrapp - This stops me from getting blisters on my pristine "thinking mans hands".

Ariel Atom Dont tell me this doesnt look like the most fun you can have on four wheels. Quickest accelerating car. I want one.

Japan - Everything about it's culture and the morals, ethics and lifestyles of it's people intrigues me. I will go when I have the funds and courage.

I'm a big James Bond fan so enjoy all of those - (except Moonraker which was a bit silly and the two most recent ones with the exception of Casino Royale) Battle Royale, Fight club, anything by Kevin Smith including Jersey Girl, and I absolutely love anything with Will Ferrell, vince vaughn and/or owen Wilson in it. I quite enjoy Woody Allen as well.

Television:

Dont watch much TV but......Matt Groening stuff, and general MTV type trash. I also enjoy Grand Designs and Gordan Ramsays F-Word. General documentary type stuff.

Books:

Just finished reading "The Game" which was very eye opening and i'd highly reccommend it. The Macdonaldisation Of Society, The Disneyisation of Society, Love all the people -Bill Hicks, Motely Crue - The Dirt, Downsize This, Stupid White Men, No Logo.....I'm starting to read more for pleasure now i've finished uni but havent read many good books in a while.

Heroes:

Erm...i dont really have any.....i'm fairly fickle and i think the people i admire change for different reasons everyday. Haha...as much as i hate to say it, i guess my dad....cos he's always there to bail me out. Thomas Lang is a bit of a scarily good drummer....I guess he's quite admirable.
