About Me

Read Halimi's blogs here at:

A good friend introduced me to scuba diving a couple of years ago and I've been hooked ever since. When I'm underwater everything's calm and serene and there's no noise to bother me except for the deep, reassuring breaths from my trusted old regulator...

I'm a certified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (Instructor no. 481315)and an Emergency First Response Instructor (CPR and First Aid). I run a small dive shop called Ocean Elements in Bangi, just outside KL.

I hope to do technical diving sometime in the very near future...I've got a date with two sexy ladies but unfortunately, they're sitting in really deep water...too deep for mere air-breathing mortals, haha.

My Interests

I maintained my dive shop website and underwater picture gallery at www.oceanelements.com during my spare time. I'm also a proud owner of a Nikon D70 digital SLR camera which I hope one day I'll stumble upon enough spare cash to mate it with a suitable underwater casing.

I'd like to meet:

Divers and all land-walking souls who are ready to be transformed into underwater-breathing addicts.

You are listening to Metallica - One, midi version

Music:

Rock...that's it really.

Movies:

The Matrix. Simply out of this world. Kudos to the Wachowski Brothers. The movie that finally defined Keanu's acting career and by which he will be remembered...

Television:

I don't really care much about most of the TV programmes, except for the National Geographics channel (yeah, lame isn't it, haha) and err...CSI, I think.

Books:

Techno-thrillers and lately, non-fiction books on diving. Diver Down by Michel E. Ange is very much recommendable to all divers out there.

Heroes:

My late father taught me patience and humility, the two traits that made me who I am today...
