Dance Gypsy: A person who spends more time traveling to and from a regularly scheduled contra dance than actually dancing.
I love dancing. Absolutely love it. In fact, I have been accused of being addicted. I love the movement, in general and in relation to other people, I love making new friends, I love the flirting.
I can hold my own in a conversation with a 6 year old, a 16 year old, or a 60 year old. I will smile, I will laugh, but I warn you, I have some strange views and opinions. I will always respect your opinions, but I expect the same in return. Though I have to admit, I'm not a favorite among some conservative mothers if we start talking about religion, politics, or sex.
I have "serious thrill issues, man." I have gone skydiving and would do it again. I want to go backpacking in Europe and scuba diving in Asia. I would love to go hang gliding or bungey jumping.
Nudity. I like it. A lot.
Now don't get your panties in a bunch when I say that. I don't mean that (entirely) in a sexual way. I love the freedom and comfort that comes from it and I love how natural it is.
I actually really like movies. I also really like having someone that likes the exact same things to watch them with.
And yes, I still watch Disney movies. I can't help it!
I am very into social and global issues. I am co-leader of our school's GSA. I read the paper when I can. I am pro-choice. For gay marriage and equal rights. Believe that schools should teach more than just absitence only education. I think there should be more public transportation and less reliance on cars. I believe in funding for stem-cell research.
One thing that truly scares me is AIDS. Up until recently there has simply not been enough awareness about the disease and I am happy that is changing. In the past 25 years 25 million people have died of AIDS.
This is an organization working to help victims of AIDS and extreme poverty. Did you know that every three seconds a person dies of AIDS?
