About Me

My name is Sam Guin(pronounced 'gwinn'), I'm an artist based out of North Carolina, but as you can see that doesn't mean I spend my time creating watercolor depictions of cardinals and dogwoods, Instead I opt to bring you the world around me as I see it. Working mostly in Graphite and Pen and Ink I create art that is meant to focus on the the things that affect us most everyday in the most personal ways. Emotion, affection, triumph and tragedy, are all laid out before your eyes utilizing a classic, narrative style thats been developed through years of dedication, and a love of art. Though personal characters and symbolism permeate my work I do not force my views on anyone, I merely present an image and a title, and the rest is up to you. It is true that every piece I create has a specific meaning and relays it in a specific artistic "language", but this "language" is specific only to me, and like life itself, can and possibly will be interpreted differently by you, which is fine, in fact I would like to hear some of your views and see how these works affect different people. I welcome feedback and if you have something you would like to say leave me a message or a comment and let me know. Thank You, Sam Guin
