TRAVELING. Watching football - GO HAWKS - GO STEELERS! Taking pictures (I'd call it photography but I have no idea what I'm doing.) IOWA wrestling. Graduating and finding a semi-real job. Snowboarding (and new love of surfing). Naps. Going out(I love to dance). Family (I'm a mama's girl, very attached to my grandparents, an extremely loyal friend, and adore my little brother - even though I'm not so sure he deserves it all the time:). Bubble baths. Working out. Going out for dinner. Camping. Sitting at a lake (with bocce or beanbags preferably). Boating down the Mississippi with some good friends and beer is close enough to heaven for me. Watching movies. Grilling out. Playing cards. IOWA tailgating.
I would like to find someone who is confident about who they are, what they do, and what they want. I don't care what the answers to those questions are as long as you are happy with yourself and honest about it.
I will listen to anything. Really. On the way home yesterday I listened to Puddle of Mudd, Johnny Cash, Nelly and the Garden State soundtrack. Yes, it was a long drive. I love rap and 80's hair bands and country and I even (if I'm in the mood) like techno.
Honestly, I never read these because I don’t think liking the same movies is really important. And if anyone bases wether they liked me or not on my movie selection I would have no friends:) I try to like those really funny (stupid) movies everyone loves...and they’re ok but not my favorite (ie Zoolander). On the other hand - Dumb and Dumber is one of my favorite movies of all time. So I suppose that it just depends. I am (unfortunately) a fan of the 4 .5 hour lifetime movies on Sunday afternoons and I can watch movies like Ghost, It Could Happen To You, You’ve Got Mail, or Top Gun every week when they are on TV. Although since I just recently got Starz and Encore for free - I've realize most of the new movies are actually a lot better than the Lifetime ones;) I like Disney movies and chick flicks. I love horror movies. Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie make any movie tolerable bc they are so damn good looking. Having said all that scary stuff…I watch it all.
My very favorite channel is The TV Guide Channel…ask my roommates and friends – it drives them nuts I think. Don’t know why I like it – just do. I LOVE Will and Grace. For some reason Laugna Beach sucks me in. I think The Biggest Looser is one of the FEW reality shows that actually does some good for the nation (WAY TO GO MATT!!!) but do admit to watching them all occasionally. And I get stuck watching those damn shows like Elimidate and Next at 12:00 am even though they are completely ridiculous. I do like football on TV but only if I care about who wins the game and like watching wrestling - live/tv - whatever. HATE basketball and golf on TV. Seriously – shoot me. Baseball used to be that way, too, but I just went to Wrigley for my first ever bball game and FELL IN LOVE. So I’m going to try to like it on TV now.
Frank Netter. If you get that you’re pretty cool! LOL! Love Stephen King. Janet Evanovich is FUNNY and light (what I'm currently in need of!) Not to give Oprah’s Book Club anymore attention than it already gets but you all should read James Frey - A Million Little Pieces. Even if it isn't completely true. Favorite book - Wuthering Heights - gotta love Heathcliff.
My mom, my grandmas, my brother. All have gone through things people shouldn’t have to deal with and they are still the most amazing spirits. Their generosity and unyielding love have helped me become who I am and for that I am grateful. Also Hospice workers.
