My Interests

I love all things music/movies/books. I love to cook. I'm freakishly attached to my cats. I like to do Ashtanga Yoga, when I get the chance. I wish I could spend more time with my friends. Current obsessions include: sleep, the opportunity to take a long bubble bath (all things I don't have time for with a newborn!).

Music:

I like a mixture of stuff. Current obsessions: Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash, Jem, Ingrid Michaelson. Usual obsessions: Ani Difranco, John Mayer, Tegan and Sara, Ben Folds Five, Nine Inch Nails, Sheryl Crow, Fiona Apple, The Beatles, the Cure, Jane's Addiction, Jack Johnson, Brendan Benson, blues, classical, funk, rock, etc, etc, etc. Lots of stuff.

Movies:

I love movies. I have an extensive DVD collection of various stuff. Faves include: The Goonies, Fight Club, Seven, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Star Wars saga, Back to the Future, Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump, 300, Jackie Chan movies, goofy comedies (ie 40 year old virgin, Anchorman, etc), Disney flicks, etc, etc, etc. Starting to get into Indie films more lately. Just saw Shortbus and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Television:

Obsessed with Heroes, Nip/Tuck, Pushing Daisies, Reaper and Grey's Anatomy. Enjoy The Office, Law & Order: SVU, Medium, Chuck, The Daily Show, The Soup.

Books:

I read a lot. That's why I'm so gosh darn articulate. Mostly read fiction, occasionally I'll read some non-fiction stuff (mostly medical-related or feminist discourse). Currently loving various YA and fantasy/ sci-fi novels. Just finished Harry Potter book 7 and am in a funk 'cause what other really great books are there to look forward to?!?!

Heroes:

Johnny Anarchy, the person who invented Cadbury Creme Eggs (my hero and my nemesis), Superman
