Nobody really knows where it all began……..
So we'll start of 30 sum od years ago with a young woman in an ambulance, speedin' towards the hospital to give birth…. a few hours and a lot of pain later, the docter held up a child, smacked him on the ass and said "it's a Boy"…. the baby smacked the docter back and said "No it's RmagedDon"
After being raised in Rotterdam the first 10 years of his life… He grew a street knowledge that till the day of today is still in use in his daily life… on age 11 he moved up to Amsterdam (his devinate Homebase) … and lurned the diverance of lifestyle between the 2 (always competing) City's.
Lurnin' the ways of the streets and listening to the words of the music and sounds around him… he grew up and found in him a talent he didn't realise he had… He found out he could rap and write lyrics.
So now he's 14 years old and combinening his streetwise knowledge and talent with his love for music, and tries to do shows when and where ever he can find a spot to perform and do his own.
It's a hard and harsh world and reality is catchin up on him… He needs some more bread to stay in the game. RmagedDon starts messin' with the streets doin' stupid shit and ends up in lock down a couple of times.
Realisin' that bein' away from his fam and musical passion was not the way he wanted to life live, he decides to act normal (as so they call it) and works with the means that where given to him.
Being out of the Music game for a while… he lost his edge and starts his own mental training program to achieve his goals in life.
And after doin' numerous small solo giggs, ghostwritin' projects and bein' feature artist for others he ends up in a group called MindMenders, by now it's 1999 and the next millenium is upon him.
The succes of MindMenders is increadable and the group is on it's way to stardom as they win "The Amsterdam PopAwards 1999" and "The Big Price Of Netherlands 1999".
These winnings brings them National fame and they tour true every corner in the Netherlands (Noorderslag, Metropolis, Lowlands, North Sea Jazz festival, Drum Rhytm.. and many more) and a lot of tv shows (TMF, MTV, The Box, Patty Brard show, Ivo Niehe… and many others).
1999/2000 is there year to shine in the lime light and RmagedDon is lovin'it.
It's the end of 2000 and although the group is still risin' there is some tension within the group and RmagedDon decides to do his own thing and leaves.
Now RmagedDon's ready for the next level.
A year goes by of doin' nothin but couch lounchin' and everyday clubbin', and he needs a job so after a good 2 years he's back on the payroll for the man.
Not lovin' it …. No not lovin' it at all.
Untill a few months before the end of 2002, RmagedDon is invited to come over to his Friends house… This friend be no other then "The Pornster" , a white dude with an incredible knowledge of music and a musical family background.
They take a seat in the backyard and talk a good talk and Porn gets to the point of invitation.
He comes up with a deliscious idea/proposal "Let's do Radio" He says: "With your skillz, expiriance and background, and My knowledge of music and Strange way of Thinkin' we should be able to pull this off"…………..
"The Midnight Show" was born.
