I was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago (93rd street baby). Even as a youngster I knew that I wanted to work in the entertainment biz, wasn't exactly sure in what area though. At the age of 17, I was a member of a jazz quintet, playing the trumpet. My jazz career was cut short
when the group broke up because of creative & personal differences. At 21 I enrolled at Kennedy King College and started the next chapter of my career, Radio. I got my first shot behind the mic in 1996 on WKKC FM. I hosted Friday Night Audio (the hottest college radio mix show at the time) from 1997 to 1999 and then started my own show 'Oz Radio' in 2000. As the year 2000 came to an end, so did my college radio career. It was time to take my career to the next level. I started at the station that would eventually become Power 92 in early 2001, and haven't looked back since.
