My name is Rayne, though many know me as BloodRayne, especially my victims. I come from the 18th century in Romania, I know what your thinking the typical vampire, aren't I? Thats where you are mistaken perhaps I should tell you deeper about my life that is if you'll let me.
I am Dhampir. Both human and vampire blood run steady through my veins. I was born with all the vampire powers without all their weaknesses. Holy items do not work nor does a garlic. Though I carry the strong cravings for blood while sunlight is a bothersome....
One of my first memories was about my mother and I, we were running and she was trying to hide me from someone. She was cornered and quickly tears up some loose floorboards and stashes me under the floor. Just as the last board is in place, the man enters and demands that I be found. As she refuses, he beats her, rapes her and leaves her for dead while I had to watch all of this from below, the man made a vow to find me.
After 23 years those memories still held a place in me, for awhile I was part of a circus freak show. Unsure of what I truly am, the Ringmaster and Strongman abused me and cut me, just to watch me bleed. They douse me with water to watch my skin burn and blister, all in the name of profit. I was alone except for my only friend Amanda, a sexy sword artist, who dreams of freedom and getting married someday. The Strongman lusts for me and one night, in a drunken stupor, he attacks me. He beats me and attempts to rape me. I tried desperately to fend him off, then suddenly I had flashbacks of watching my mother raped and murdered. In a blind rage, I lunged at the Strongman’s throat and drinked human blood for the first time. This first kill results in rampant decimation and I am caught in the act. The circus folk try to apprehend me but the blood rage surges and I killed anyone that dares to challenge me. During my blind rampage I accidentally attacked Amanda, killing her. Full of regret, I took Amanda’s sword and fleed into the forest.
Vladimir and Sebastian, members of The Brimstone Society, a group dedicated to fighting vampires, learn of me and attempted to find ,e. They find the carnage I had left at the circus.
Heartbroken and alone, I learned to defend myself with Amanda’s swords. I began to learn who I was and the strengths that I possessed inside and out. I now dedicated myself to feeding on vampires, never again attacking humans. As I searched for blood, I encountered a fortune teller. The old woman explained to me that I am a dhampir, the offspring of a vampire and a human. She reveals to me that the man who killed my mother was Kagan, a very powerful vampire, and myfather. From then I was determined to avenge my mother and kill Kagan. The fortune teller explains that Kagan’s fortress is heavily guarded and that my only hope of entering would be to possess a very powerful artifact: The Talisman of the Eye, something Kagan, the vampire king, had been seeking for years.
I entered the monastery where the Eye is kept. I found it, but has to avoid traps, fierce guardians and rushing water to escape. Ultimately she prevails and wins the eye and unexpectedly, it takes on a purpose of its own and assimilates into my skull. As I prepared to leave the monastery, I encounters a Regal Monk. He explains that there are three Talismans in total; the Eye, the Heart and the Rib, and that Kagan already possesses one of them. He warns her of her great responsibility to human kind just as Kagan’s forces attack the monastery. A fierce battle ensues. I was injured and Domastir manages to kidnap her. Vladimir and Sebastian arrive on the scene a few moments too late.
The two Brimstone warriors follow me and Domastir, to the lair of Leonid, a lusty playboy vampire surrounded by scandalous vixens. Leonid realizes that I held the powerful Eye and demands it. I refused and a battle breaks out in the lair as Vladimir and Sebastian arrive on the scene and save me. Leonid is killed in dramatic fashion; light spilling into his hideaway through a smashed window. Weak and wounded, I am taken by Vladimir and Sebastian to The Brimstone Society’s fortress. Here we meet Katarin, head lieutenant of the society.
At The Brimstone Society’s fortress, I am caged, at first, but eventually a trust develops and they let me out and allow me to feed. I tell them about my mother and my mission. I stayed at the fortress and begins to train with them as a warrior against vampires. Over time, a sexual tension builds between me and Sebastian. This tension continues to intensify after we consummate their unique relationship.Vladimir, Sebastian and I visit Iancu, a friend of the society, who outfits me with armor and weapons.Katarin is bitter that Vladimir and Sebastian have brought me to The Brimstone Society. It is soon revealed that she is a traitor and lets Kagan’s thralls (human servants of vampires), into the fortress. When Vladimir, Sebastian and I return to the fortress, they find that everyone is dead and that Katarin is gone. They return to the town but I sets out on my own, first to find the Heart Talisman and then to fight Kagan alone.My search for the Heart returns me to The Brimstone Society. There I witnesses Katarin the traitor, surrounded by thralls, trying to retrieve the Heart for Kagan. In an underwater battle, Katarin and I fight for the Heart and I prevail and kills Katarin. I drinked Katarin’s blood to heal myself.
Meanwhile, Vladimir and Sebastian arrive at Kagan’s castle and wait for me to show up.I soon arrive at Kagan’s castle and demands to see him, admitting that I am his daughter and the I bears a gift. I am taken to see him and then is quickly apprehended by Domastir and set to the dungeon to await removal of the Eye. Vladimir and Sebastian follow me and attempt to storm the castle. They are quickly apprehended by the hordes of thralls and are brought to the dungeon to join me.I am shackled and dragged to the ceremony to remove the Eye. Kagan is about to possess all three of the Talismans, which will curse the world and cloak it in darkness so that the vampires may roam free. With my clever plan, Vladimir and Sebastian are able to escape and attack. They release me from my shackles and an incredible, nail biting action sequence ensues. The battle ultimately brings Kagan to his knees and destroys his colony. Vladimir does not survive this final battle but I triumph and saves the life of Sebastian by turning him into a Vampire.
My biological father was killed in an accident at the end of World War II. For sixty years I spent my time killing off his children, my half siblings. Though they got together and formed a Cult of Kagan, pledging to carry out his legacy of creating a new era for vampire supremacy where humans were just mere cattle. Now my next mission is to destroy the Cult that pledge to destroy mankind....
