Influences: I don't know if I would call all of them influences but my favorite old bands include: AC/DC, Amon Duul (all incarnations), Aphrodite's Child, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath, Arthur Brown, Can, Chicago, CSN(Y), Colosseum, Deep Purple, ELO (1st album especially), ELP, Family, Focus, Funkadelic, Gentle Giant, Genesis (mostly Peter Gabriel material), Gong, Gryphon, Hawkwind, Henry Cow, Iron Butterfly, Iron Maiden, It's a Beautiful Day, Jefferson Airplane, Jethro Tull, Judas Priest, Kansas, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Magma, Nektar, The Nice, Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd, Refugee, Renaissance, Rush, Santana (only the old stuff), The Soft Machine, Tangerine Dream, Traffic, Van der Graaf Generator, War, Yes, Zazu, Frank Zappa, ZZ Top.My modern favorites are any person or band that utilizes plunderphonics and / or noise in their music and anyone who uses any object for anything other than its intended use in order to make sounds with it. Among the best at this are: Animals Within Animals, Negativland, Bobby Vomit, Stallio!, People Like Us, Wobbly, Any and all women from Women Take Back The Noise, plus probably hundreds more I can't think of right now.
