This summer, she’ll add yet another credit to her impressive resume as she joins the MTV hit show “Yo Momma!” as Wilmer Valderrama’s new co-host. “Yo Momma!” is a no-holds-barred competition where amateur comedians face off to unload an avalanche of humiliation on one another for a cash prize. Lightsy will showcase her comedic flair as the cast heads south to Altanta, Georgia for season three.Lightsy is a natural born performer and appropriately so as her extended family boasts musicians, actors, and writers. Born and raised in Los Angeles, her career began at the age of 11 months when she landed her first print ad for The Broadway department store. She began honing her dancing skills at the age of three when she participated in her first of many professional dance classes. At the age of 10, she became an official member of the Screen Actors Guild. A student of renowned choreographer, Fatima Robinson, who she met at a national commercial audition, Lightsy has mastered that unique style of dance movement. She’s worked with high profile entertainers such as Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Missy Elliot, Jamie Foxx, Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Ciara, and her idol, the late Aaliyah. In 2004, her dancing skills landed her featured dancer spots in 20th Century Fox’s “Fat Albert: The Movie” and Sony Pictures’ “You Got Served.” Lightsy can also be seen in David La Chapelle’s 2005 documentary “Rize,” a film that chronicles the practice of vividly extreme dance forms such as “krumping” and “clowning” in south central Los Angeles.Other credits include co-hosting the NBC series “Goosehead,” spots on “MAD TV” and Comedy Central’s “Mind of Mencia.” She has also appeared on numerous television specials (Jamie Foxx “Unpredictable” for NBC) and award shows as Usher and chris Brown's leading lady (Vibe Awards, BET Awards, Soul Train Music Awards).destiny
