Outgoing, Outspoken and Often Obnoxious!

About Me

I'm outgoing, friendly, opinionated, honest (in a very blunt way), have a big heart, love animals, Vegetarian (for 15 years, no I don't "miss the meat"), I'm a Raging Liberal - this will never change!!

For the first time in my life, I feel like I'm making a real difference and it's the first time my job isn't "important". Being a Mortgage Funder was "important" and I was very good at it, but now, owning an eco and animal-friendly cleaning business, I'm making an impact (oddly enough, by not impacting the planet in a negative way).

I'm very sarcastic - people either love me right away or think I'm too outspoken and need to be tamed.
Some people call me radical; I call it passion!!

I'm a double fire sign and embrace every bit of what that means.
I'm funny usually.
I have several well-placed tattoos (249 or 9 depending on how you count them, but you'd never know it!).
I can cook.
I'm told I'm cuter in person than in photos - but this may be an insult.

My Chinese Horoscope says I'm Chivalrous, my friends are life-long and I'm prone to marital strife - these are all true.
I admired and respected my great-grandmother who divorced in 1920 and raised two kids on her own - but secretly I think she started a long tradition in my family (see marital strife above).

My best friend of nearly 20 years is a guy- get over it!
My closest friends are always men- deal.
I have double standards.
I play pool a lot and curse while doing it (I won't swear in front of your mother, but for Christ's sake, when you scratch on the 8 ball it's ok to yell out "ball-licker, whore"!)
I only capitalized the "C" in Christ to make my mother happy!

I have traveled extensively and don't really understand people that don't like to travel.
I don't hate my body.
I have 2 amazing children, which I've raised on my own ~ and I take full credit.
I've been told by numerous people that I should write a book. I've experienced more in 36 years than many people do in a lifetime!

I've had a heartbreakingly beautiful life, experienced a tremendous amount of pain - but even greater amounts of overwhelming joy.
I believe one day I'll do something truly great, I just don't know yet what it will be.

You Would Be a Pet Bird
You're intelligent and witty, yet surprisingly low maintenance.

You resent anyone who tries to own or control you. You refuse to be fenced in.
Why you would make a great pet: You're very smart and entertaining
Why you would make a bad pet: You're not interested in being anyone's pet!
What you would love about being a bird: Flying, obviously

I'd like to meet:

I'm always happy to meet new friends, especially animal and eco friendly people, activists and the politically pissed off. I am madly in love with my soulmate Noah, so please be respectful.

I'd like to meet:

George W Bush - so I can kick him in the balls!

My dad, 17 years ago, before he died, so I could tell him everything I forgot to when he was alive.

My children, 15 years from now, so I can see if they will grow up to be the wonderful people I think they'll be - or if having me as their mother completely ruined them forever.

Music:

Cat Stevens - cuz he's looking for a hard-headed woman! I heart music, but my favorites list is way too long.

My list is too long. Netflix has loved me since they opened. I go between having 3 unwatched movies at home for months at a time and going through 6 movies in a week.

Television:

SciFi Channel every year during the Twilight Zone Marathon, History Channel, National Geographic, Discovery, and CSPAN occasionally when I'm feeling angry anyway...

I love that show!

Nothing will benefit health or increase chances of survival of life on Earth as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.

All the arguments to prove human superiority cannot shatter this hard fact: in suffering, the animals are our equals.

- the Buddha (circa 563-483 B.C.)

The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for whites or women for men.
- Alice Walker, African-American writer & storyteller

Spiritual progress does demand at some stage that we should cease to kill our fellow creatures for the satisfaction of our bodily wants.
