Bite me. I like it.

About Me

HOW HARD IS IT TO READ SOMEONE'S BIO BEFORE SENDING A FRIEND REQUEST? THIS IS FUCKING RIDICULOUS, PEOPLE! (And yes, I can tell if you've read this or not.)
In stagnation lies potential. That seems to be the lesson I've learned over the last few years. It seems that I'm finally finding that potential. I am recently divorced, but I am living with my life partner. (THIS MEANS I AM NOT HERE TO HOOK UP!)
I am a woman at an apex in her life. I'm at the top, looking straight down, and knowing that I can't stop what is happening. There are serious changes happening in my life. I welcome them with open arms. It was not that long ago that I was terrified of them.
I enjoy meeting new people, but on Myspace people seem to be very superficial. I've decided that from now on, unless someone new takes the time to send me a real message and tell me a little bit about themselves -- as well as what we might have in common -- before they try to add me as a friend, I am going to deny them. (This does not apply to people I am friends with IRL) I want to know that you took the time to read my profile before deciding to add me, rather than judging me on my looks or my background pics. I'm only interested in meeting people who are sincere (and intelligence definitely helps).
I'm a pretty average goth girl. No, this doesn't mean I wear black and a ton of dark makeup or write poetry about dying (although I have written a few in my time). It's a state of mind. It's my outlook on life. Life is a terminal disease, nothing in life is fair, there are no guarantees, life is short-no regrets, so strap on a hog and be a man. Those are my life philosophies. I also believe that happiness is rare, so enjoy it when it happens.
I am obsessed with vampires. This is probably the only stereotypical goth thing about me. The funny part is, I was into vamps before I knew what goth was. Can you guess what my favorite tabletop RPG is? Bonus points if you can guess what type of character. ;)
Which brings me to my other obsession...Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I won't bore you with details. If you want to know, write me and ask.
I cannot live without music. It's like breathing...essential to survival. I could never answer the age old question, "If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have three albums with you, what would you bring?" I love David Cook, Joss Stone, Jewel, Rob Thomas, John Mayer, Carrie Underwood...this list goes on and on.
Have you made it this far? I'm impressed. This is where I tell you what I look like. I'm short. Very short. I am barely 5 feet tall. My hair used to be down to my ass. I chopped it off in January. I've pretty much regretted it since, and I'm impatient for it to grow out again. I have tiny feet and tiny hands. My eyes are brown with golden flecks in them. I think I'm fat, but people have been telling me lately that I look healthy (whatever that means!)
Most of the time, I'm laid back and easy to get along with. I think that it's important to be kind to others, no matter what. Unfortunately, having kids tends to make that value very hard to live by...but I get by the best I can. If it's particularly hard, I turn to Mother Gaea for guidance and strength.
So, now that I've taken up at least half an hour of your life, are you still interested in being friends? This is the time to go click the "send message" button and write me a note. Please keep in mind that if you bore me, I'll most likely deny your friend request. Now...impress me with your wit and charm. ;)

I'd like to meet:

James Marsters (for pure, unadulterated lust-driven reasons), Stuart Townsend (mostly sexual), Rob Thomas (purely sexual...well, and musical), Stephen King (I want to dig around in his brain), Audrey Hepburn (if she was still alive), Kevin Smith (for many various reasons), Neil Gaiman (more brain digging).

RIP Drew.
You will be missed by many.
